DH and I were in the LBS today, and someone brought in a lovely Trek with the COOLEST bar tape. It was silver and carbon fiber-y. The maintenance guy told me it was Deda bar tape. I just know it would look really nice on my bike; however, I want to know if it's any good. Does anyone have any experience with this bar tape?

i have tried a lot of different brands of bar tape and DEDA is now the only type i use -- good wear, vibration damping, attractive, and under $20!
Oooh, shiny (http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=21526)!

Yeah, I saw that and got excited. But then I thought, what if the sun reflects of of it into my eyes!!!
I just ordered the Deda bar tape in the carbon silver. Pretty hyped. Now I just need that Atmos helmet that matches the bike too. Hmmm...LBS is having a sale...

I have the silver on LAZB. I had it on Pipit, too. Very durable and it cleans up nicely. (Not a super great picture...)

Well, now I'm just plain excited!! :) It looks so good on that bike. (And I kinda like the bike too...)
I have to be brutally honest here and say that looks like duct tape in that photo...

y'know, I went and looked at it in person and even held a roll o' duct tape up next to it. The colors are very similar. I'd say the duct tape is actually a little shinier. :p

No, that is true. I saw that and I swear my mouth fell open. I just worry about the sun shining off it and blinding me. (Seriously, that would happen, I know it.) :D I wonder what that chrome finish would look like stretched out, or if it would develop any cracks in the chrome-y finish.
