Is anyone else just completely amused by the guys on Slipstream sporting mustaches? They remind me a geeky group of boys who just don't take themselves too seriously- yet they are bad a$$! The only thing that could be better is if Mr. Prim Millar would grow one.
I can't find a team photo but this isn't bad

But are those light-colored shorts going to be, um, TMI when they stand for a photo?
Remember the horror of the red-shorts photo?! :D  :o

I saw somewhere that the newer team kit are going to be a darker blue.
Presumably proper chamois placement would counteract the TMI issue, at least I hope! (I've seen white shorts in some of the catalogs, but haven't seen anyone wearing them in real life yet)

Speaking of Slipstream, does anyone eat at Chipotle? I've been meaning to give them a try. From their website, they sound pretty good.

OMG, first off, between Rock Racing and Slipstream, I am in heaven. I love Rock & republic clothing and I LOVVVEEEEEE Chipotle. You need to drop everything immediately, preferrably hungry, and get yourself a burrito..STAT. It's just one of those staple fast food joints.
I can't seem to use these speedplays (Speedplay Zero's) my bf put on my bike, presumably because I don't weigh enough. So my solution is to now gain weight by consuming large amounts of Chipotle burritos and chips.
Good Luck with your first Chipotle experience, KnottedYet!

Oooh, baby, this stuff looks good. http://www.chipotle.com/?#flash/food_ingredients
(whispered hint: try Speedplay Frogs instead)
Ooooh, look, you can play "Memory" with the rider's faces, as though they were a deck of cards! http://www.chipotle.com/?#flash/slipstream_the-team
(Dave Z and Martijn M are both chickens when you click them... hmmmm) Oh, man, the deck completely changes each time you pull up the page. What a blast! I'm having way too much fun with this. (now Dave Z is a different chicken picture)
Oooh, just won the game. Hey, they should give you a coupon code or something for winning!

I am not a big Chipotle fan but that is because here in Texas we have Freebirds (http://www.freebirds.com). If you have ever been to Freebirds Chipotle cannot compare. I am however, a HUGE fan of Argyle! The new kit is darker and more orange, I don't think TMI is an issue.
I LOVE David Millar's TT kit. It is the British Champion Bands on his right leg and blue and red argyle on the left.

DH and I keep saying "Next time we go to Chipolte, we're going to SPLIT a burrito" - because they're just so DANG BIG! They're about the size of a small baby. But...sigh...we always seem to buy 2. And then we say "Well, we'll just have to ride an extra 10 tomorrow!"

David Z's stache reminds me of the vintage cyclist photos of the 1800's, lol. I'll take that over the face tattoo as seen on David Clinger of Rock Racing:

Is Clinger polynesian, or did he only do a little culture-borrow?

I don't know why Clinger has those facial tats, but it just makes me sad. Such a scary distracting look which probably makes it hard for people to look at him and connect in the most basic human way. Carol

Tokie-May I suggest visiting NZ..there are quite a few folks who have facial tatts like that..NOt all of them are good ..(Gang members from the Mongrel Mob..)
Tis not just a fad in some countries.. Tis not hard to look at someone with that type of tattoo. Would you find it hard to do a traditional maori greeting at a marae with a person who had one?
Where's RoadRaven when you need her..

I have known several people with facial tatts or ritual scarification on the face. It is very difficult at first to not be distracted by it because we are not used to it in our culture. But I found that I got used to it pretty quickly and then it was no different, for me anyway, than looking at anyone else. I still connect with the eyes, facial expression etc.

I think you are on to something. Of course people in cultures where this is somewhat the norm don't see them as anything but what they are.
But this is the United States. my interpretation of it is that it's his mask; a defense mechanism of sorts to keep people from getting too close in an emotional way.

I think the moustaches are hilarious. Aesthetically, Cozza's looks better than Z's because it's darker. :p
I managed to snag both Dave Z. and David Clinger at ToC on Saturday. :D

A little late getting back on the TE forum to rejoin comments! Zen, you picked up on my impression of Clinger and his facial tattoos. I do appreciate the diversity of cultural expression, and enjoy that everyone does not look/dress/and decorate themselves in the same way. It just seems that those tattoos on Clinger are a very strong statement in the context of the culture that (I assume, but do not know) he comes from. It would be interesting to hear what he has to say about them. Tokie

Fits beautifully, snug and curvy, has that old school look, and those in the know...well, they know you got it.
One word of warning: if you're B-cup or larger, a couple of letters get lost around the bends and you appear to be a fan of IPSTRE

The mustaches remind me of my guy friends in university who used to stop shaving during exams. . .or just because. As a newbie who doesn't know much about the pros, I like reading about and watching interviews with Slipstream. I find Slipstream kind of endearing. And they wear blue and orange - my absolute favorite "fast" colors.

It's aluminum and carbon. I'm safe.
(but I want the saddle, the top tube wrap, and the gold chain!)
There is a TE jersey, it's the Hill Slug jersey.
