From the children, of course :D

Nothing diabolical.

Just so that I have some cash around if I need some in a pinch - you know - like those times I NEED more clothes?? :D:D

I like a little spare cash for going to the yard sales, too.

Doesn't anyone else hide a little cash??

I live by myself but once found $300 in a drawer.
I didn't mean to hide it from myself but it was a nice surprise :D

I hide a little $$ in my sock drawer, for those just-in-case moments.
(like when I *really* need to go buy some new blinkies, or visit the REI cycling apparel sale, or hit the LBS for some bar-tape)

I loved coming across a dollar or two in a jacket pocket, so I started leaving little surprises for myself. Then I started rifling my pockets when I needed cash, and then I quit bothering.

It's great when you live in a place like Edmonton Alberta. You have to switch jackets every few months going from light fashion jacket for summer evenings to full on down North Face Expedition grade down in January. I was always finding exciting things in my pocket. Well the money was exciting. Rotten fruit... not so much.

I've never thought of hiding money, but perhaps it could have saved the marriage?! I like the thought of finding $300 like Zen did. Perhaps I'll try hiding some from myself and see what happens.

When I was little, my mom started to notice that things from around the house were disappearing, and she was beginning to wonder if one of our friends was stealing, or something. Well, finally, she discovered that under my bed were all the missing items. I was storing them all up for Christmas...I was going to wrap them and give them to my family!

I guess I came by it honestly...

A couple/three years ago when I got divorced, my family wanted to treat me to a nice Christmas present. They got a top-of-the-line iPod with video, etc. (Not too big a package, right?) My mom wrapped it and hid it, and Christmas morning it was nowhere to be found. Christmas ground to a halt while a good hour of searching went on. :p

As she aged, she lost her memory, and we started finding things in the oddest places.

But then, I spent a good 15 minutes searching for my coffee cup the other day, and finally found it in the microwave! :o

Mine came in the mail yesterday and had to laugh in spite of myself because I read this thread earlier in the day. At least I don't have to hide mine. I WISH my hubby would pick up an issue every now and then so he can understand my obsession. He rides with me and enjoys it but he's not obsessed like I am. ;)

I was 11 or 12 when I did that!

Worst is looking for my glasses, and thinking, Hmm, this would be easier if I could see anything! I need my glasses! Oh ...
