I finally got back on my mountain bike today. I haven't ridden it since before I hurt my knee on the Knoxville Double in September, as it's hard to do any mountain biking around here without some steep climbing.
We rode the Ridge Trail in Black Diamond Regional Preserve and the cows wander around the park in the winter. They really chew up the trails and leave some things to be avoided. But it was great weather. I was able to wear knickers instead of tights and my cashmere short sleeve jersey instead of two or three layers of wool. :)

This trail climbs almost 1000 feet in 2.8 miles. It's a great workout. We'll do it as an out and back most days. To do it as a loop you either have to go up or down the Wall. It climbs the same height in significantly less distance. I prefer to go up the Wall myself. :D That will be a ride report for another day.

This is the last sweeper on the descent.
I've missed mountain biking and I want to get this back into my regular weekly routine.
There are a few other pictures from today on our website.
