:D
All test have come back negative on Lorelei!
They are going to treat with steroids for about a month or so and see if this helps the swelling. I guess it would be nice to have some answer of some sorts. But they feel at this point there is nothing else they could do that would give them anymore answers.
I am very happy for my sister and her family. It was very hard for them. But the Dr's feel whatever it is that with steroids she will or should show improvment. But they are going to watch her for a while.
I sure hope i don't have to write about nothing but how well she is doing from here on out!
Tonight at dinner I will raise my glass in cheers for all of you who supported us through this. I somehow kept it together. I have a few more gray hairs from this now but at least I still have my Little Lorelei!
Thank you
Namaste!

Sighhhhh....
Baby is going to see a geneticist. In part because she is so skinny so fast. One Dr wants them to see if she has Pegoria
which is a rappid aging desease. Not good at all but I am not reacting till we have a forsure. I am sick of she has she doesn't have....to much emotion.
My sister sent me a recent picture that sent me into a state of shock. I cried every time I looked at them. In a months time she now looks like a completly different child.....So skinny so frail.
My best friend says we need to take in consideration all she has been through and if it is enough to change the looks of an adult to imagine what it would do to a small child. I just didn't expect it to be that much.
SHe started steroids the other day. I hope they help put back some fat!
I am so tired of this roller coaster it is just not fair. i am so glad I have my biking and yoga. it helps me keep it together a little better then if I didn't have them.
I am sorry I keep bringing you all with me on this ride. But I look at this posting as a journal or diary that talks back to me and it helps. It really does.

Someone you love very much is going through something that is obviously a strain, and is completely mysterious. Please keep posting!
If I may make the suggestion, I would love for your niece to see the kind of naturopathic practitioner that I have seen (and I can get mine to find one in their area to recommend). The recovery I have had from an also mysterious illness that had me overwhelmed with pain, fatigue, etc, and off of my bike for year and a half, with the help of this testing and treatment, is nothing short of amazing. The system is a use of modern technology combined with traditional chinese medicine that can find the areas that are out of balance and work to correct them. If you're interested, I can tell you more about the process (here or in PM - your choice).
I do hope that the root of the problem is found soon, in the least invasive way possible!!
Sending lots of butterflies,

I'm a little relieved to hear that they're going to continue to investigate what's going on with your niece. The waiting & not knowing, and "maybe this, maybe that" are very tough to sit with. But the key to helping her is getting the diagnosis. As frustrating as it is, it takes the time it takes.
Do keep us posted. You know she has people pulling for her all over the world.
