Has anyone purchased the cyclo fuel nutrition plan from Graeme Street? I was somewhat interested in it but its $100...I didn't know if anyone felt that it was worth it or not.

I just listened to the recorded web cast from Terry (I missed it when it origianlly aired). Yes, pricey. Spinnervals have similar DVD's--not only for the trainer but core work outs....I think you can buy them individually and cheaper. I have a couple ones for the trainer.
Info on web cast was good....mostly stuff I know just need to apply.

I listened to the telecast also and found it interesting. I just don't know if Graeme's cyclo fuel is worth paying $100 or if its info we know already. Like you, I need to put this info to good use. I was hoping someone purchased it and can give us a review on it.

My hubby bought this awhile ago. We started watching it, but didn't finish.
I, too, listened to the webcast and had to call dh to ask if we still had it. I found it and watched the DVD's and listened to the CD's. There's some good info on nutrition and Graeme goes over pretty specifically the foods we should be eating.
There are 3 parts to this program. Fat burning, maintenance, and performance. The fat burning is only a week long thing, but it's designed to get a jump start on your metabolism for those that have plateaued in their weight loss. I'm on day 5 of this right now. It's been really good...and hard!! The maintenance is for the times when we're not on the bike consistently (like winter), and the performance is when we're at the peak of our season and riding often.
Graeme really pushes supliments in one of the CD's, but it's good information.
There are recipes and stuff, too.
Hmmm, that's all I can think of, unless anyone has a specific question.

It's good stuff and he knows what he is talking about. Key is to stick with it. He can put some people off, but $100 is a fair value.

How's the recipes that's included,, are they something that the whole family(teenagers) would be interested in eating? Does it seem like they are simple and fast to prepare?

I have considered this program, I listened to much of the audio and sounded realistic. Look forward to hearing about the recipes included. Apparently has a menu and grocery list too.

The recipes are simple and use mostly whole foods. If your whole family likes basic, healthy foods then they should have no problem. I know my teen doesn't care for whole weat anything, but she'll eat it if there's nothing else...hehe.
Here's a few recipes from the program. There are also user-submited recipes, too. Most look good, some don't...depends on your taste. The recipes are divided into breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, leftovers, and metabolic booster meals. They are again subdivided into fat loss, maintenance, and performance, depending on what phase you're in. Many can be used for different purposes.

Cyclo-POWER Pancakes (makes 4 small pancakes)
4 egg whites
1 egg yolk
1/2 C oats
1 big spoonful of low-fat cottage cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon
1/2 C frozen or fresh blueberries
1. Combine all of the above ingredients together in a blender and blend on high
for 60 seconds.
2. Spray a skillet with non-fat cooking spray over medium heat.
3. Place about 1/4 of the batter in the center of the skillet.
4. Wait for about 1-2 minutes of until the batter begins to make little bubbles at
the top and then flip it over with a spatula.
5. Cook another 30-45 seconds and then plate your pancakes.
Graeme’s Tips & Suggestions:
This is a great breakfast when you’re sick of eggs and the great news is that you
can use them for fat loss by NOT adding any additional carbs or sugar on top OR
you can also use them for maintenance and performance by adding low sugar
jelly, jam, or syrup on top.
Turn the Cyclo-POWER Pancakes into a PB&J!
Use the pancakes like bread with all-natural peanut butter and
low sugar or all-natural jelly for the perfect lunch or snack. You
can also use these pre-ride at least 2-3 hours before.

Graeme’s Ultimate Cyclo-FRITTATA (makes 4 servings)
I am going to give one base recipe for this frittata and you can add as many
wholesome and healthy ingredients as you like to make it your own. I think
frittatas are a perfect one dish meal. They provide a great source of protein,
healthy fat, nourishing carbs and veggies all together in one meal that can be
used for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. I love them!
6 Whole Eggs (beaten in a bowl with a little salt and pepper)
1 C frozen peas
½ Microwaved Sweet Potato
½ large onion sliced
2 OZ. Lean Ham diced small (optional)
½C Diced Baby Spinach
2 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
12 inch saucepan
Pinch of dried oregano and rosemary (optional)
1. Pre-heat your oven to 375° as you prepare the frittata.
2. Begin by sautéing the onions in olive oil on med heat until translucent.
3. While the onions are cooking, dice the ham into small pieces and cut the
sweet potato into 1 inch pieces and microwave for about 2 minutes.
4. Add the ham and the potato to the onions while sautéing.
5. Place the peas, diced spinach, oregano and rosemary in the egg mixture.
6. Turn down the heat to medium-low and add 1 tbs. olive oil and coat pan
before topping the pan with the egg mixture, making sure to cover the
entire pan with the eggs. Evenly distribute the onions, ham and potato
over the bottom of the pan.
7. This will look like a large omelet at first. Let it sit on the burner in the
saucepan until the egg mixture rises about 1 inch or so and the egg
begins to congeal.
8. After a few minutes, take the entire pan and place it in the oven for about
5-8 minutes. Pay close attention to the frittata as it will continue to rise.
9. Take it out of the oven as soon as it develops a golden brown color on top.
10. The frittata should slide right out of the pan onto a cooling plate and rest
for a few minutes before slicing into 4 pieces like a pizza.
11. If you like, top with a little grated parmesan cheese and fresh raw olive oil
and/or serve with my tomato and cucumber salad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cyclo-Chicken Stir-fry (serves 4)
1 lb of lean cut chicken breast– sliced into small strips
1 diced onion
1 can drained water chestnuts
1 C diced celery
1 C sliced zucchini
1 C broccoli florets
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
OPTIONAL PASTA OR WHITE RICE
1. Dice all of the vegetables and place aside.
2. Cut the chicken into thin strips.
3. In large skillet or wok heat the oil over medium-high heat.
4. Begin by cooking the chicken until lightly browned.
5. Quickly add the garlic, ginger and vegetables and sauté for about 1-2
minutes.
6. Once the vegetables become soft and translucent, add the soy sauce and
continue to sauté for about 1 minute.
7. Plate and eat.
Graeme’s Tips & Suggestions:
For FAT LOSS use this meal with no added carbs for your dinner or for the next
day’s leftovers for lunch. If you’re using the meal for MAINTENANCE, serve the
stir fry over a small portion of sesame noodles or steamed white rice.
Hope this helps!!
Thank you for all the good information. Is the recipes in a cookbook or is this something that you download and make copies? The recipes sound delicious.
The recipes are on a disk in a pdf file. It'd be easy to just print the whole thing off. :D
Now I have it, I need more money to purchase the Hammer Nutrition Supp. he encourages. I want to start of with the 7 day fat loss phase. I am however utilizing the core work out immediately. It is not easy, a real challenge. This is good. I have also been following his food suggestions along with Tosca Reno's "Eat Clean Diet". Work well together for more recipes. Food for Life looks appetizing too.
I bought it and it seems pretty good, however, I just began the Body for Life program and it is working out well for me. I plan to use Graeme's video for getting in shape too. Rotate videos to beat bordom.
