I am looking for advise on what type of spinning bike to buy. I am a stay at home mom with a seven month old son, and of course I want to tone up from the pregnancy. My budget is limited to no more than $500 and I have been looking at purchasing a Makoto SB5800. I have taken spinning classes in the past and I used a Nautilus, but they are out of my price range. I am not looking to train for a marathon just yet, but I do plan to use the bike daily. If anyone can offer advise on what brand/model to buy I would greatly appreciate your help. :)

I am no expert, but I do teach spinning and have ridden on several kinds of indoor cycles. In your price range, depending on where you live, you might consider buying a used spinner from this dealer http://www.innercycling.com/xcart/product.php?productid=13&cat=0&page=1&featured
He sells parts, advises people on maintenance, etc. That might be better then buying a used one from ebay that is not reconditioned.
Good luck - it's a great way to get back in shape!

Do you have a regular bike? I'd suggest a cheaper alternative - buy a trainer. You can get a CycleOps Magnetic trainer for around $180, and their better model, Fluid, will cost around $320. You can get a great workout inside, and you'll use your own bike.
