I've been looking for a run-around-town bike for jaunts to the grocery, school, etc. Can't afford a lot and want to find something fun, cool, and unique. I am going to take a look at this bike in the next few days-- British Triumph 3-speed. I think I might fall for this one! Brooks saddle, lugs, fenders, all I'll need is a basket...

Looks like a cool bike! How old is it?

Brooks made a blue and white saddle just like the Schwinn's?

That bike looks really similar to the '85 Schwinn I bought at a garage sale a few months ago.

Looks very purty! I'd snap it up!
I bought an old bike that's similar to that a few months ago to run errands. It's nice to have something old that I don't have to worry about like my race bikes. Add a basket and you're good to go!

Ya know, Lot's of starving Africas, Chinese, and India people would love to have that. It is worthy. Now go make some memories with it.

That looks like my very first "grown up" bike, when I was a girl (which was a blue Schwinn). So cute!

From my research I think it is 1970ish, built by Raleigh in Nottingham England. The date should be stamped on the SA hub. Raleigh owned both Sturmey-Archer (3-speed hub) and Brooks saddles. Yeah, it looks like a Schwinn... or should we say the Schwinn looks like Raleighs? I haven't seen it yet. It is raining too hard to go look. Maybe Saturday.
