F/S Polar F6 Watch W HR Monitor

I purchased this as my christmas present but didn't do much research prior to buying it..:o I realize it's not the watch I actually want and have now found the one :)

It's been worn a few times and there's a wee mark on the face.

What did you want it to do that it doesn't do?

I'm thinking about getting one so I can pin down exactly how many calories I'm burning in my exercise classes. I'm afraid I don't know a lot about them. I would prefer one that monitors my heart rate constantly, so does that require a chest strap--or do the watch kind do it continuously, too?

Looking at the polar site has me a flummoxed.

I figured out that i should have purchased a Timex Ironman watch. It's almost exactly what i have now and would like to stick to having a countdown timer.

I guess I thought the Polar watch was a cool idea....until i bought it and then had an afterthought...
