Found this site from guess what?...googling and low and behold I should stumble upon this wonderful community. I started cycling last June and got addicted in weeks. Did my first century in October of last year. I am now off season training and get this...love the indoor trainer. I live in Colorado and the winter thus far has been brutal. Can't wait for the spring and the great outdoors. Thanks for being here.

I do own a Guru bike...it's a Cron'Alu. I love this bike even though I don't do tri's. It is a double and riding this in Colorado's hills is a challenge. I actually had to get another bike (Lemond which is a triple) to handle the climbing rides. It's the one I use on the trainer for now...love just laying over the bars and riding.

I am actually a novice rider. I started in June of 2007 but became hopelessly addicted. I can't wait for the 2008 season to start. I am training hard over the winter to improve.

Welcome!

I'm not in Colorado, but I'm in the mountains of NorCal. I'm with you on the trainer this time of year.

We're due for a huge storm starting tonight. (Bundle up, you guys get it next!)

Welcome!!!
Warning: this board may be highly addicitve. I've been known to "waste" hours and hours on here. ;)

I'm not from Colorado, but I LOVE Colorado. Does that count? Although with as much snow as you've been getting lately, I really only love Colorado in the summertime. I'm not so much a winter person.

I just saw that on the weather forecast...it's due on Monday I think. Now I've started cycling winter is a pain in my butt. I'm originally from Perth Australia and you could ride almost all year round...damn the move!

I guess I got the travel bug...it's been 20 years since I have been back. I do miss the weather and the beach. Great coastal roads to ride on, but you can't beat the mountains here for climbing.

Welcome, Guru
Addicted is the word
I hopped back on my bike after 20years of no riding - that was at the end of 2005...
I rode my first race in 2006, didn't realise how competitive I was and am completely addicted to just getting on the bike, let alone racing :)

Just remember that in the beginnning, your improvements are quick - almost visible. As you get better and better, you improvements are smaller and you have to work harder to get them. This is normal, so don't feel disillusioned if 12 months or so down the track you seem to plateau for a while - its normal.

Looking forward to hearing about your achievements on the bike - whether it be commuting, racing, fitness... whatever

Welcome, guruchic! This is an awesome community. Even those of us who have life keep us off the bike for awhile benefit from the support on here - it's all good.

Sending you happy butterflies for your winter training. I'm in central British
Columbia, so I totally understand.... :)

Hugs,
~T~
