Now that the forums are up and running on the new server, I'd like to ask for some feedback, via the poll and a couple of questions you can answer if they apply to your user experience:

#1) Are you having difficulty logging in, or staying logged in (ie, forums "forget" you are logged in while you are reading/posting.)?

If so, did this problem start after the move? (December 28th)

#2) Are you experiencing any other "unusual/weird" behavior from the forums that you did not experience before the move?

Thanks for your feedback!
Jeff

I couldn't decide if it's about the same, or maybe a teeny bit faster.

No weirdness since the move. :D

Mostly the same, although I had several times this morning when it timed out after I tried to hit various threads---that's unusual for TE.

Salsabike - was that at around 8 AM pacific, over about a 10 minute period?

No, since I didn't drag my lazy butt out of bed till about 8:30, I'd say it was more like 9:30 ish. But it hasn't happened since.

I noticed that clicking around, the pages load a lot faster. In the past it would take so long to load sometimes that I was wondering if the was going to time out. Now they almost pop.

Thanks for the upgrade :)

Seems faster to me. No problems, either.

Around 6:00am CST it was loading really slow, I clicked on the OT thread and it timed out three times before loading.

Other than that it seems about the same (from home and work).

Seems good so far from both home and work and Mac and PC :)

Seems the same if not faster but it did log me out. It usually remembers me on my computer. Other wise no problems.

...I would have helped with the packing if I knew we were moving!:o

It seems a bit faster.

I am having login trouble. The only way I can log in is to type my user name and password in the upper right corner and click "remember me". If I type it in the box in the middle of the page, or don't click "remember me," then I just get the box in the middle of the page over and over.

I think it's faster, and I never get "stuck" threads anymore.

Thanks!

I get stuck threads whether I'm on Safari or Firefox at home, but not on computers at other locations; so I think I can safely blame my issues on Verizon. (other websites also stick for me, not just TE)

Seems about the same to me - but I'm on dial up

me too. Still in the dark ages of interent at home. Now if someone could explain why photos on TE forums WILL load at home while I'm on dial up, but often WON'T load on my office computer with a fast connection. We'll leave alone that I'm looking at TE on the office computer ;) (on breaks and and lunch, I'm allowed...)

I haven't noticed a speed difference. But I have noticed that for the past few days it won't fully load the page. Example: if there are 15 posts, it sometimes only shows 5 or so. I haven't changed anything on my end...

Working fine for me now---no timeouts since the first one I mentioned. Thanks.
