hello again

Not been on for a while now, but I have lurked.
I'm getting better and am getting interested in getting out on my bike again.
I'm thinking of getting a new bike and have been considering the Specialized Dolce or Dolce Elite. Both have compact gears (I wanted triple but was told this was just as good or better).What are your thoughts on those bikes. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hold the Specialized. I've just discovered I can get a Trek for less than the bike I'm considering.
The Trek is a 1.2 WSD

I found a bike shop nearby that has the Trek in store, so I can at least go and try it for size.
