Mr. UPS driver. I'm patiently waiting (well maybe not so patiently) for the UPS truck to arrive at my house. My gift to my mom is inside that truck and I don't want to leave to join my family until I have it in hand. Could you guys will that truck to my house quickly? I have a 2 1/2 drive ahead of me and I really want to get on the road but I'm not leaving until I have that darn gift in my hand. Again, in all together - move that UPS truck to my house, quickly!

Happy Holidays to one and all. Safe travels for those who must journey forth to join family and friends.

Boy you ladies have some amazing powers. Shortly after posting my note I wandered to check my front step for the 100th time today and guess what I found - the UPS man had silently dropped the box I've been waiting on today. I have it wrapped and it is time to load the car and begin my journey to be with my family. Thanks for help!

Happy Holidays!

Certainly not that is why I called on y'all!

I think it was actually based on:

- your close proximity to UPS mecca
- SilverUncle who is a Senior Manager for UPS (I'm sure she called him in London to check on your package)
- it's Christmas...:)

I even got a Wii yesterday morning after camping out at Toys'R Us for three consecutive mornings at 5AM in blustery winter weather (while Silver slept in the car;) ) Two days before Christmas, I was second in line to buy one of three that they had received:cool: :cool:

It's Christmas! SO, let's send good vibes to Mr.Silver Dad...after a rough month, he's back in the nursing home and all he wants for Christmas is to get home (and I want to get him there quickly!)

Matbike,
This was after they had a convention in front of my house. Christmas Eve mid-day a UPS truck pulled up to the house, and brought me a package, then another truck pulled up, and another, and another. I think the total was six. Thought I won the lottery - but nooooo, they were resorting loads. One by one the trucks thundered out, and got lost. It was funny watching all these trucks drive around, or maybe it was the number of trucks hitting the neighborhood at the same time, that it just seemed they were driving in circles.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas/Solstice/Holiday/Whatever! I got Lance's autobiography (published after his 2nd TDF win), which I've finished reading already. He certainly does meet the description of a hot headed Texan. If I only had his lungs!

I got that book, too!

He ticked me off in the very first chapter when he said to is wife, "don't be a skirt!"

:::shudder::::

I figure, you don't get to win the TDF 7 times without a gigantic ego, but do you have to show it off in the first 5 pages? AND he's from Texas. I hope I like him better after I finish the book.
