Can anyone recommend a pooch-friendly hotel near the Oregon Convention Center? We wanted to stay at McMenamin's Kennedy School, but realized that we need to take the Wonder Poodle with us.

Anyone know anything?

Thanks.

Check out this page

You can search Portland and it brings up a pretty long list of hotels, including a La Quinta Inn right near the convention center.

The website recommends calling the hotels to double-check on their pet policies.

Oh, I just noticed they have a database for larger-dog friendly accomodations. Fewer listings, but it's a start.

Kewl. What's (a) La Quinta like? Seems like "a" is out of place in that sentence.

How about the official hotel (http://www.handmadebicycleshow.com/2008/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=56) for the NAHBS. Someone told me that Red Lion is extending the special rate to people attending the NAHBS(not just the exhibitors as the website states), but I'd double check with the hotel on that.

Their website says that pets are welcome.

Psst, Chloe, if you call La Quinta instead of registering online Mom will get a rate like only 2/3s of the internet rate. Honestly, what is she thinking leaving you at home? Like, wow, what is her issue?
