and if you could give me your reasons why you like the one you like!

i currently have shimano.. but hubby showed me how clean campy looks plus he says some people have said they are actually easier to shift!

what do you ladies think?

I've never ridden Shimano so call me biased, but I am a Campy die-hard. It is so gorgeous and sexy and has this incredible history and . . . and . . . .

Also, check out micro-shifting of the front derailleurs. I was told that Shimano has fewer so you can't do small adjustments depending on which cog you're using. May not be much of an issue on a double, but you need to be able to do some adjusting for a triple crank. I've haven't confirmed this so anyone want to chime in?

I'm riding the Chorus triple groupo from 1999-2000. It is very easy and smooth to shift.

I've ridden Campy chorus on my custom bike for over 10 years and approximately 50,000 miles. All original. Yes, Campy shifts more easily. I've been told that Campy is more easily repaired.

I have Shimano on my mountain bike and road Shimano on my old road bike. It's OK - but Campy is just so much smoother. When you barely touch that lever and it quietly clicks into the next gear...Heaven on Wheels!

It is said that when you're coasting the idlers are whispering "Campagnolo, campagnolo..."

As they say -- it only costs $5 more to go first class. I couldn't see saving a few bucks on something that I was going to have for a long long time. Besides, I don't smoke, drink or bet the ponies, so I figured I needed an addiction.

Hi ~ I have Campy Chorus on my Aegis, Shimano Ultegra STI on my Terry, and Shimano mix with bar-cons on my Bike Friday. Campy is hand's down my favorite. Love the shifting (it's non-indexed in the front shifter, which makes derailleur trimming much easier), love the clean look of the cable routed under the bar tape on the handlebars. To me the only downside of Campy is the cost, but it has been worth it to me.

Record team here...

My husband is a campy FANATIC, however we are both currently using Shimano on our bikes because of the price...got one headed to college and another right behind her. We have vowed that when the kids move out Campy will move back in!!
