Another Proud Papa Moment!

The High School Dance was last night...Daddy's little girl isn't a "little girl" anymore. My, How's she's grown up!

She is a beautiful young woman. 10 years in your child's life not only goes by so quickly- but they change so dramatically. I'm sure it seems like yesterday when she was a little girl.
I don't have children (and most likely won't), but I teach, and I sometimes have the same feelings (though not nearly as strong or meaningful as yours). My first class I taught is graduating high school this year. They've grown up so much. I ran into a former student at Fazolis the other night and he was not a boy, but a full grown man. Yikes! From our brief conversation, it was nice to see that he'd grown into such a repectful and kind man. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I don't know if it's apparent in the picture just how tall this young man is. He is referred to as "the giant" Silver daughter is barely 5'3" with 4 inch heels on. He's at least 6'6"

He's "just a friend" of SD's. She has lots of boy friends that she hangs out with. And she's not usually very "girly" so it was so funny to see him try to stand next to her for the pictures.....it was like he thought she might break or something and like he was afraid to touch her. (this is a good thing)

Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. I have two DD's, ages 6 and 9 and I am eager, yet don't ever want to see the day that they "grow up" into young women.

*sigh* looking at those pics again. And realized that she was only two in that first picture, so that was actually 15 years ago. Time is a-flying faster than Mr. knows.

Your daughter is beautiful!! It only gets better with each new season of their lives. I have two grown beautiful daughters who have become women and I have loved every moment, even the tears of joy and sorrow. Hang on to every moment they go so quickly.

She was a very tall 2 year old! :)

I got a pit in my stomach yesterday when I realized my youngest child was 14. I've been raising children for 25 years. No more baby teeth. No more innocent questions. No more ooohs and aaahs over simple things like bugs and Christmas lights and pulling a quarter out of their ear.

He still does sit in my lap, though. And we get to share in all those wonderful childhood things together with my 2-year-old grandson!

It is fun to toy with teenagers, isn't it? I enjoy that commercial with the boy coming to pick up the man's daughter...a cell phone commercial. The expressions always make me laugh.

I could be confused, but when we moved into that house, I was 5 months pregnant with SS, thus she was about 2.75 years old. She got glasses when she was 5 and she doesn't have them there. So she was greater than 2.75 and less than 5. :confused:

My baby girl (now 19 1/2 had her end of school prom last year - and she looked so stunning and I wondered how my little full-on toddler... my delightful 10 yr old... my confused but clever 14 year old... I wondered how she had become a graceful and beautiful woman... where had the time gone... and how wonderful that I had had some part in this miricle...

I feel the same way when I see my 25 year old son with his girlfriend. He is so nice to her and affectionate, I am proud he saw some good role models growing up.
