Hi ladies, I can't seem to find any good cycling books specifically for women that are still in print. What gives? I can order used over Amazon. I'm looking for road cycling books. I've read lots of general books which I've found to be helpful. Any recommendations? Favorites? Thanks again, Kim

I have this one: The Female Cyclist: Gearing Up a Level (Ultimate Training Series from Velopress, 3) by Gale Bernhardt
It's available from Amazon.

I just checked that one out on Amazon. Looks good! I have several training books but the problem is that they are not realistic for those of us with other parts to our lives - like work, relationships, etc. They require a huge time committment - often mid-week - and that's just not realistic for the average Betty.
I'm going to order this one though because it addresses other aspects of women's training like nutrition, menstrual cycles, etc. (Hmmm...I wonder if I can trade in my menstrual cycle for a different bicycle?)
I also saw this one by Velopress: Weight Training for Cyclists http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1884737439/ref=sib_rdr_ex/002-4823276-6512022?%5Fencoding=UTF8&p=S00A#reader-page The issues with weight training is that after awhile you lose the microcirculation needed in the legs to deliver oxygen during endurance activities. So, doing heavy squats might not be helpful in cycling.
I'm an information junky when it comes to this stuff.
