This is so much fun!

I decided to try something new with my mtb. I now attach a german shepherd to me and we go for our spin in the neighborhood. I have a Ruff Wear Flat Out leash that snaps around my waist and the other end attaches to the dog collar. I first tried it with Niki, my little sable girl, who is 70 lbs. We practiced in the yard and tooled around there for awhile before hitting the road. She was very quick to learn and she loves it!! She's very responsive to verbal commands and doesn't pull either--even with a cat sighting. :eek: Then I tried it with my big girl Kali, a 85 lb gsd. She is just as thrilled. We ride up and down the street of our neighborhood, admiring all the decorations. They finally get a great workout and mom gets to ride the mtb. They are happy puppers. :)

I'm looking at gizmos online that allows dogs to trot safely with the biker. Hmmmm, another Christmas idea for hubby. ;) :D

That sounds like fun! I've wondered what it would be like, especially with a dog that needs to run. Nala encourages your puppies to go fast! She will encourage you from the nice sidewalk where dignified old lady dogs take their brisk walk. :o

Oh, I remember how the late and greatly lamented Vrka would just wriggle all over whenever I got out the long leash and harness (we were poor and lowd-tech). She loved our explorations of the river trail. She'd pull if I let her, or needed the help up hills, but would come back and heel on command. We went all over.

Good times, good memories.
