We finally had a nice day. I had two meetings scheduled after school today - the regular staff one and then one to plan for a baby shower. :( We did the baby shower stuff through e mail and the staff meeting was mercifully short. I took my bike clothes to work with me and changed before the staff meeting, instead of riding home first the way I usually do. I did my after work full 20 mile ride for the first time in ages it seems. I've been able to get in 15 mile rides, but not the whole route. I'm just really glad I didn't have to lug any textbooks home today, in addition to my clothes. It was windy - in the wrong direction!

I'm hoping it stays dry for a while so we can mountain bike this weekend.

PS I wore my lovely pink cashmere cycling jersey. The other teachers were quite envious of the pockets. Although Max - one of two males on staff - thought I had it on backwards.

I'm jealous, V! While you were enjoying a nice sunny day, we had freezing rain and icy roads. :( :( Not only impossible for biking, but destroying the nice snow we had for x-country skiing. Poor me:rolleyes:
These are the days I bless my indoor trainer. It is most certainly better than nothing. Did a good, hard ride and took out my frustrations about the weather. I feel better now, thank you. ;)

Well, at least I got to walk outside in the sunshine going to and from lunch today, I guess I should be grateful :p

True - but this was truly backwards. Usually I have an awesome tailwind on a slight decline and can hit 25 mph with little effort. Of course I pay for it on the return. But yesterday it was backwards. It was nice to have a tailwind on the climb - but I missed flying downhill. :p
