I too received a couple of cards this week - one from far, far away and the other a bit closer. Thanks for adding some seasonal sunshine to my week!

I've spent today working on my cards - some will go out Monday and the rest on Wednesday (first opportunity to get to the post office).

As I am sure you've all noticed, I'm on the list twice. And although I love receiving holiday cards, please don't feel you have to send me two ;) :D ;)

I got a card in the mail - from NZ. Thank you!

I put my stack in the mail yesterday, or was it the day before? Sent out cards to my TE family before the blood relatives. Oh, and check out the back of the card. You may need some Tabasco...

This card exchange...wonder if it's a women thing. Another women's forum which doesn't cover cycling at all, they're into this annual Noel card exchange.

It costs 50 cents living in Canada to mail to another Canadian address. :(

I got one from NZ too :D So cooool with a reminder that "the season" isn't necessarily snowy. I finally got started on my outgoing cards last night. 3 in the mail this morning, with their little mackerel stamps like the daring "scouts" of the school to follow.

It is really good fun, wondering whereabouts the next card might come from.

BIG thanks to nomummytummy, receiving a card all the way from New Zealand, really cool.

Also thanks to michelem, home made card, so good, you look so fit in your photo.

It will be fun whoever I receive cards from, as most are a long way from England.

Yup, I have been a busy bee, posted a lot of mine yesterday. Tried to make them different but I am not very arty farty, so a friend and my partner helped me............yes, I cheated. :D

Cheers.

Loven 'em, cards from the other side of the world!

Thanks to five one, another handmade card, you have such lovely handwriting and loved the stamps. What a cute card from shellyj, I hunted everywhere in the UK for a similar card. YAY, a cool funky card from bmccasland, the recipe on the reverse of the card sounds good but I don't think I have ever seen crawfish tails over here......

Cheers guys.

You can substitute shrimp, and it's just as good. It is tradtional to season to taste with Tabasco (made in New Iberia, Louisiana). :p

The cards are starting to come in..Of course, Nomummytummy's arrived first. A home made one from Five one..how cool and thoughtful is that? Mama Bean sent a biking related card, took me a minute to realize the chains were making a snowman..(ok-it was a long day after decorating the house) and Deb G wrote a thank you for letting her be in on the exchange..its open to one and all and I should reply to her a thank you for participating! Bmccasland's card with a recipe took me back to my brother, he loved New Orleans, lived there for a couple of years. Makbikes card was too adorable, I also have a black & white. I enjoy doing the card exchange, what a great opportunity to say hi, happy holidays to all the wonderful people on this board.

For the past 3 weeks I've received cards from all over the world, including New Zealand. It is so much fun anticipating the cards, wondering who sent them, where the cards travelled from to get to my house . . what a wonderful idea!

I've also been sending out holiday cards this past week. I enjoy writing the cards, addressing them to someone else in the world who has a common interest in biking as I do, someone whom I'll never meet. It's a small world isn't it?

I've only been on this forum for a few months yet it has been both fun and educational (in terms of biking). I don't know who originally thought of this holiday gift card idea but my kudos to you. My hope is that this activity is continued every year.

Enjoy the day,

- Vivian (vmax)

A bit behind, but hey I got them in the mail! I was most worried about the ones going over the pond, through the woods, and down under.
I'll get the ones going to the US adresses out tomorrow.

I have to say that until the one lone card I recieved from a friend on saturday- ALL of the cards I've received so far have been from my TE friends! And yes, I get huge smile every time I open one!

Again, I must say "Thank You" for the great holiday greetings I'm discovering each day in my mailbox. It is a pleasure to open the door to my box and find cards from TE friends. They always bring a smile to my weary face and lift my spirits. Thanks again for the holiday cheer ladies!

My "holiday" card will be going out after the first of the year so I apologize for my lateness.

Part of my list will get theirs later rather than now. I'll finish them up by next week hopefully :D I have a new strange shift at work (most of my quality personal stuff I can get done at work but not so much now) and it was finals in school. I'm finally done though!!!

I am so amazed by all the cards. There have been so many beautiful ones and I am always so envious of people who can actually make them. Even DH is getting into this and he's displaying them in our family room!

I have just one question about the card I sent... Did the button presents survive the mail??
I was concerned about that, and I'd like to know for future reference..:)

Hello- Mine made it through the mail, too. I thought that it was a great card, as did my two friends who were here for the day Saturday and are avid card makers and scrapbookers.
They took the card off of the wall and admired the embossing and everything!
Great job!

Thanks all. Glad they made it. I was a bit concerned. And thanks also for the kind words. The last few ddays have been rough for me. I have my health, so I'm thankful for that. But the bike shop stress has hit an all time high. UGH
So to see such kind comments really felt good.
Ya'll have a very merry whatever it is you celebrate! :)
Much love to you all
