Sporthill Summit Tights - size M, regular length

I posted this over on the Terry 50% sale thread but someone may not be reading it, so bear with me on the duplication . . .

I just received my Summit Tights (no chamois version) (http://www.terrybicycles.com/detail.html?item_no=5046&c=On+Sale). Turns out TE is much better at measuring inseam length than Terry (surprise, surprise). Anyway, the legs are too short for me. The description on TE's website (http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=22275)is far more accurate. 28" is right.

Before I return them, does anyone want them for $40 including US postage? I hate to see someone miss out on such a great deal.

TE carries them in a long length which I may try. They're really nice tights and I was so looking forward to using them for snowshoeing.

I'm interested! I got a pair of Castelli tights off SAC, and they are just too long for me, so I need something else. Would the Sporthill tight be too much for biking? (I'm still interested, even if not).

Ha! I love Castelli because they make the only tight that is long enough for me, maybe even a skosh too long. I'd rather have tights an inch too long than 3' too short. I'd trade you but I want the windproofing.

Any way, did you read up on the Summit Tights? What about for your climate? Sporthill marks them as one of their "Zone 3" items for cold, windy days of 0 to 40 degrees.

I don't know much about your winters to recommend or not. Do you get cold easily? I suspect you have more humidity to worry about which, I assume, makes it feel colder. I know I wear more clothes than many people at the same temps just because I'm not used to them. Give me a year now that I've moved. It's 20 out there now. I'm thinking tough. :p

Yep, either we move to Portland, Denver or the mountains of NC - all places where I'm gonna need more winter biking clothing than I currently own!

You are correct in that I do think they'll be way more than I'll ever need in my current location (my legs are rarely cold), but I'm trying to plan ahead. :)

That's what we did last year. Of course, I didn't really plan for winter sports off the bike when it's too icy or wet to bike.
