I've been injured since May/June (compressed ulnar nerve in hand and major soft tissue damage to quad) and I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to train again. So I've had quite a bit of free time on my hands.....

Mt bike and Cyclocross pictures from 2006 and 2007 race seasons

I liked the one picture that I saw, but with MySpace, only members can actually look at pictures. I'm not a member (and I don't plan to be!) I've always wanted to try cyclocross, though. I used to race mtb in the 80s.

Good luck with your healing.

are you going to be able to ride again? Are you doing therapy? And did you hurt yourself biking? Ok enough?

I did therapy last summer. The soft tissue damage in my quad is significant. you can still feel a huge bump and this injury happened 7 months ago. My ulnar never is still bothering me....this injury happend 6.5 months ago.

I'm at a loss about what to do....

I had a huge quad injury last January from a bike accident. I have a big dent and lump in my leg. My PT said it "might" go away if a massage it a lot. But I think I will have that dent forever. My muscle seems to have recovered though, so be encouraged. Now if only my SI joint would heal up...

I am adding a disgusting picture because I know everyone will go eeeew!

Oh, and also... I started swimming when I had to stop cycling. It really saved my sanity. Now I am able to go on the eliptical, and weight machines. You don't have to lose your fitness, keep up cardio and leg work. You can do it.

Ah, the leg dent - sign of a true mountain biker. ;) I got mine thanks to an over-the-bars incident that occurred when I was being indecisive about whether or not to get cocky going over a simple trail obstacle - would've been fine either way if only I'd made my mind up before I got there! Thankfully, the lumpiness went as the bruising faded.

Must have a nosey at those pics.

Oh, Yay! If a leg-dent is a sign of a true mountain biker, then I guess I'm one, too!
Got one from a crash into a tree in '97 and it's still there. I recall the bruise for a time looked like Elvis in profile. Was pretty neat. But then gravity pulled it down into all sorts of weird stripes and shapes. No pix, tho.

Niiiice...

FBG, Diva and Regina my partner had a "hole" in his calf muscle for a long time from injury. It was easy to feel and to see.

I massage his quads and calves regularly and it was approximatly 9 years before I registered it wasn't there at all. I had noticed it getting less obvious..... so maybe yours will disappear... but maybe if they are true signs, you won't want to lose your hard earned "badges". :p

Because of where mine is (right at the top end of the muscle), you only see it when you compare both legs.
