Do you have a favorite?
My current fave is Fat Cyclist (http://www.fatcyclist.com)
Fatty writes very funny stuff, has a lively group of bike pals, and his wife appears to be gaining the upper hand in her fight against a recurrence of breast cancer. It makes for inspiring, touching and fun reading.

I'll go ahead and throw in a shameless plug for my blog. It's in the link below!
You can follow my efforts as I attempt to train and race in some NRC races next year on a developmental team. It's also got other random stuff like dogs and trail racing stories.

since this topic came up, I HAVE to post a link to my teammate and friend's blog...

Since I'm on it...I guess I will post the new blog for my team! It's a bit weak at the moment, as we started it post-season, but we've got a good start with our cross gals!

There are so many ... I typically start my day perusing the bike blogs, and it takes quite awhile! Of course, like others here, I think my blog (http://twoadventures.blogspot.com) is the best :D.

I have a couple that I check into at times, but what I love is clicking on the ones that everyone else has linked on their blogs. I get sucked into reading stuff about random people I don't know...lol.

Me too, me too!!
I like clicking on one that's been dormant and leaving a comment, too ;)
My most favorite is the one who found *me* within 24 hours of putting my blog on line, which is http://www.cyclelicio.us/index.html

Yup - got it! You really should get out on your tandem. DH and I are both also in training, and at different levels, but the workout is good for both of us when we go. Our ride last week was good though - an "easy" day for both of us.
I checked out your blog this morning too. One more to add to my list!

I'm also a big fan of Fatty, Bike Snob NYC, and Large Fella on a Bike. A couple of others I check out frequently:
Unholy Roleur (http://unholyrouleur-jim.blogspot.com/), a local DC-area guy who's got an attitude and wicked sense of humor similar to Bike Snob.
jacquiephelan.com (http://www.jacquiephelan.com/), a female bike racer who writes about cooking and life in general, in addition to cycling. Funny and thoughtful.

I read Dave's and my friend Tim's http://alaskabikeblog.blogspot.com/.
One of the main reasons why I read his is to see what he says about me on from rides.

Legitimate question first, then shameless plug.
I'd like to read a blog about bicycling from the viewpoint of transportation, not racing, or touring, or mountain biking. Do any of the blogs mentioned fit that bill?
Shameless plug: this is a blog that fits that description, and happens to be mine. :) Rachel's Bike (http://www.kemenel.org/melalvai/journal/)

In addition to BSNYC, which is a guilty pleasure, I like this one:

Cannot for the life of me figure out what "Pro is Program Go!" is supposed to mean though. If anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it :D!

This one is about a seattle family that has basically given up cars in favor of their Xtracycles:

I can't quite pin down where the couple in the latter blog lives, but I think it's somewhere in North Seattle.

welp, mine's mostly commuting, tho' I don't have rules :) But then, you can prob'ly tell that already from my bicycles! I'm all flattered my pic's on your blog :D several of the ones I linked to in my post are transporational, too (like "you just don't want to" which I think you'll identify with :) ) ... mine's (I forgot I didn't mention it@) http://bicyclecu.blogspot.com

Mine is new - and just lets me organize my frazzled brain and share photos with friends - I like to take my small camera when riding. It also documents my racing team - Team ECD (Ergotech Cycling Dynamics) I have a website link soon - we are waiting for our new kits from Hincapie Sports - come on George sew faster!!!!! It also has a personal side to it with updates on my huge new office building project. I can't wait to read some of the ones mentioned above. I always like the smaller personal ones.

This is a great thread! I've now bookmarked many of these blogs - I especially love the Copenhagen cycling one. For those of you who have your own blogs - I'd love to start a practice of posting comments on each other's blogs. It's great for our SEO and it's fun to get to know other women cyclists who blog.
Another shameless plug... But mine (http://cyclingeurope.wordpress.com) is quite different than any others listed. It's about Cycling in Europe, and my self-guided cycling service. I welcome any comments (or even guest posts - contact me (jennifer@vivatravels.com)) if you've ever ridden in Europe (or want to), including suggestions for new places I haven't ridden.
This is a fairly new blog, so I haven't covered much territory in Europe yet (as far as posting about them). Upcoming posts will include discussions on climbing Alpe d'Huez, Mont Ventoux and other cols and on the joys of picnicking while riding in Europe (my favorite thing!).
Also, I'll be changing it to a self-hosted site so the name will change when I do that (read: find the time to do that)! Too many limitations on Wordpress.

Geonz - YES!!! Many thanks - I was way too tired when I posted last night. Glad you liked it - the pictures from the Atlanta track racing came out great - that track is so steep and it was mighty scary to ride on it!!!

While playing around on some of the aforementioned blogs, I've discovered a few others that will make you chuckle:
This guy (http://flamencochuckwagon.blogspot.com/2008/03/irrational-optimism.html) has a knack for describing the economy using cycling metaphors:
"Inflation? It's gotta take off like Petacchi on a full inhaler of Salbutamol, right? How could it not?"
And this guy (http://www.howtoavoidthebummerlife.com/weblog/archives/2008/03/moustaches_in_cycling.html#more)has a funny post on cyclists with moustaches.

Most of my riding nowadays consists of pulling DD on trailer or riding alongside the kids, so I find this blog pretty interesting.

The one I read most consistently is Ed Wagner's, over by Tulsa, OK, "CycleDog" (http://cycledog.blogspot.com). A good mix of stuff... teaching, social issues, transportation cycling, the "joys" of raising young 'uns...
BikeSnob NYC is pretty good, and I enjoy reading about Fatty's various misadventures with his mountain bike as well as his and Susan's heroism in the face of a really bad deal.
My puny and somewhat inconsistent efforts here: http://psyclepath.blogspot.com.

London Cyclist just ranked their Top 50 Cycling Blogs (http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/features/top-50-cycling-blogs/). In addition to expected ones like BikeSnob NYC and Fat Cyclist, one of my favorites made it to #6: Urban Velo (http://urbanvelo.org/). Great list from which to find some new favorites.
