From http://bikeportland.org:

Next Friday Saturday, let’s form a large community assembly to march downtown, by foot, bicycle, and skateboard, to deliver our message to the Justice Center and to City Hall. We need Sam Adams with a megaphone telling us that we have an equal right to the road no matter how we choose to get around. We need community leaders reminding us of why bicyclist’s rights are everyone’s rights. Ideally, the Mayor and the Chief of Police will be there to listen, and to tell us how they will act to ensure justice and fair treatment for all road users.

Here are the details of the event:

“We Are All Traffic”
A Community Assembly for Equality, Justice, and Respect for All Road Users.
PLEASE NOTE: The time/date for this event has changed. It is now being planned as a two-day event: a press conference to happen on Friday (11/16) at 12:00 noon at City Hall and then a larger, public rally on Saturday (11/17) also at 12:00 noon. Please stay tuned for more details.

The event will be a peaceful, legal, and highly visible statement that we all belong equally in our roads and public spaces and that we are all committed to working together to create a culture of respect.
