I am going to see this bike after work.
I'm thinking, just the saddle alone is worth it.
Then I could sell my too-big GT Timberline and use this for the commute.
Anyone familliar with this kind of bike? They don't give model or year... I guess I'll have to wait and see.
"Jamis road or commuter bike in good condition. 18 speed. Frame size is 48 cm. High pressure narrow tires. Rack and lights included. Handel bar shifters. Steel frame for comfortable ride. Leather Brooks sattle."

48 cm might be small... I'm 5'6.
But aren't Brooks saddles usually like, a hundred up?
the guy wants $155 for this bike. I'm thinking that's the saddle, lights, hmmm.

Depends on the saddle. you can get a new B67 for about 60 ooops, just checked, the price has gone up to over $100 dollars, that's the plummeting dollar for you.
but there are some brooks that are VERY expensive
the sprinter is on sale for $240 and the swallow... $673.00 !!!!
wow!

If it doesn't fit but you want the Brooks saddle, and you are willing to take the time to list various other parts from it on ebay (even including the frame, ultimately), you will definitely get your money back. Every single bike component in reasonable condition I've ever listed on ebay has gotten multiple bids, and some even sold for close to the new price! pedals, cogsets, cranksets, whatever, you can do quite well on ebay if you're willing to spend the time taking photos and writing up ads. Good luck!

Did you buy it?

Yeah, I bought it.
I'll post pics when I'm done frankensteinin it.
We are gonna yank off the wheels and swap them out with my giant, maybe. Believe it or not, the Jamis has road tires on it, and the Giant road bike has hybrid tires on it (you knew about the Giant, though.)
It is kind of an aquamarine color. I think it is a Jamis Boca?
The frame is just a shade smaller than the GT I am getting rid of, but that is Craigslist for ya, beggers can't be choosers.
It is a better bike, however, than the GT and I believe will be a better commuting option.
