For those of you who haven't heard yet, the US lost an amazing athlete this weekend. Ryan Shay was 28 years old and collapsed at 5.5 miles in the Olympic Trials for the marathon in NYC on Saturday. I have friends who know him and said he was not a gifted runner but one of the hardest working athletes that you will ever meet. He got to where he was on gut. Here's a link to the news story.
