I decided to forget the pain in my leg, etc and ride to the health club for a yoga class. It's a beautiful fall day, about 42 when I left. I have to take a round a bout way to the club, because of a highway, so it's about 8.7 miles. I must have not planned for enough time getting ready, because after pumping my tires, getting my gear and making sure I had my yoga pants in my backpack, I got there 10 minutes late. I hate being late and the class was full, so I snuck in the back and did the class in my cycling tights. Thankfully I had a regular wicking shirt on under my PI windstopper jacket.
It was up to about 50 on the way home, but the other side of the main road had a lot of debris. I ran over some huge metal thing with both tires and prayed nothing would happen. I shed the vest I had on over my jacket and the beanie under my helmet.
The ride was nice, but slow for me. 17.34 miles with a speed of around 14.3.

I had a fantastic ride today by the beaches in Middletown. So beautiful. Lots of ocean views, and past 2 wildlife sanctuaries. Really lovely, and no traffic at this time of year.
It was cold, so I wore my new jacket and a cashmere sweater that has a new moth hole. So excited I can ride in it now! Was toasty warm right from the start. Hope I can ride all winter.
15 miles, didn't time it, but I felt fast ;) .
