Erin Kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning. After a bad night, I took her to see her Vet this morning and we decided it was time. Fortunately she went quickly and quietly. So she will be soaking in some sunbeams and watching butterflies. I know her canid sister Branwen is there to greet her along with other TE fur friends.

Aww Beth, sorry to hear about Erin. I was enjoying your stories of Erin! Now she starts a new adventure though. Do you think there's a special TE place at the bridge? We sure do have a lot of animals there waiting for us.
Take is easy this weekend and be kind to yourself. ((hugs)).

Beth, I'm very sorry. :( It's hard leading them to the Rainbow Bridge and having to say good-bye. When they leave they always take a piece of our heart with them. It's comforting to know they no longer have to struggle with a body that is just too tired to work anymore. May your Erin share many wonderful moments with our little souls who are waiting for us.

Erin was so lucky to have a life full of love right up to the end. :o

I'm sorry. My little dog Percy was the gentlest Jack Russell you'll ever see with a cat. She loved it when they rubbed up against her to claim her as their own. I'm sure Percy's waiting patiently for an Erin rub right now.

Beth I'm so sorry about Erin. It has been a sad week on the TE forum - several buddies have crossed the Rainbow Bridge this week. I know this is a very sad time for you, cry your tears and embrace the wonderful memories you have of Erin.
Take care!
{{{{{Beth}}}}} I'm so sorry. We were all hoping for Erin to pull through - I guess the butterflies had something else in mind. She's healthy and complete now and hanging with the other TE furkids at the bridge. My Yogi loved to play with the cats, too, and, of course, Ted the cat is a gentleman and will show Erin all around. And for awhile they'll all wonder what it is with all those butterflies.....
Hugs and peaceful, calm, remembering butterflies,

LBTC - I thought of you as I pulled out the driveway heading to the office this afternoon. Butterflies were flitting about in the front garden where I buried Erin. So they were there to cheer me and to fly Erin's soul.

Poem For Cats
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.
Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

Thank all y'all (pleural of y'all :p ) for your kind words. I miss Erin, but I know she's catching healing rays and soon will be up to bouncing around, catching up on all the playing she missed. She had been ill with sinus infections much of her life, so she's has lots of catching up to do. I really appreciate my TE sisters.
And the poem, Sundial, you made me giggle, and then cry, so I read the first stanza again.
The other furry beasts, kitties Bonnie and Herald, and dog Nala have been looking for Erin today. Eventually we'll settle back into a routine of life.

Beth,
I'm so sorry to read about Erin, I was so hoping that things would improve for her. I know how hard it is, but hope that soon the good memories outweigh the pain of losing her.

So sorry for you. Erin and my Little Kitty are probably curled up like book ends in front of a roaring fire. Contented and happy.

Spoke,
Erin was a desert kitty at heart (born in Phoenix), so yes, she'll be curled up on the hearth of the roaring fire, then when finally warmed to her satisfaction, she'll move back a little and stretch fuuulllll out. when I lived in the mountains of Arizona and heated my house with a woodstove, Erin would sleep between the woodstove and the wall. Later in life, she had to make do with a heating pad. Just not the same if you asked her.

Know how hard it is to lose the little fuzzballs. When I've lost mine, they get a crepe myrtle of their own in the back yard, liberally salted.
