Just want you let you know that the Fremont Freewheelers is once again offering the all-women Cinderella Training ride series starting on Jan 15. Most of the initial rides begin from the Bicycle Garage on Thornton Ave. in Fremont.

Here's the flyer:
http://www.fremontfreewheelers.org/docs/Flyer2005.pdf

Here's the website for the training rides:
http://cinderella.polakoff.com/

I don't belong to the club and I won't be participating in these rides, so you'll need to contact the individuals listed on the flyer if you have any questions.

jobob posts ..... the Fremont Freewheelers is once again offering the all-women Cinderella Training ride series..." Those of you signed up for the Cindy waiting list, I understand that participating in this series gets you the registration forms a tiny itsy teensy bit earlier than the rest.

So shake off those winter legs and go.

uh, jobob? "I accept the Pillsbury Doughboy as my Personal Savior"? you crack me up, guess we're both going straight to H&^# for that. oh well. thanks for brightening up my morning.:p :D

Trek, this year the FF training ride participants happened to get the forms the day they became available.

I wouldn't sign up for these rides in the hopes of getting the reg form a tiny bit earlier than anyone else - there's absolutely no guarantee that you would get them any earlier by participating in the training rides. I just want to make this clear so there are no false assumptions.

I think the reg forms will be available online from the Valley Spokesmen website when reg opens up. If you fill out the form and mail it in promptly you'll get in. If you procrastinate, well ...

Jobob, I'm not sure I'll do the training series either. I'm on the waiting list for the Cindy so should be notified the moment the forms go out.

Someday I'll take care of my procrastination issues ;-) So if I get the form returned in time I hope to see you there. Anyone else?

I'm not doing the training ride series, but I'm planning on doing the ride. It isn't the greatest ride, but I like the fact that it is for women only. It just makes it a little special.

yes, cleaner porta-poties! Plus the registration goes for good causes and it's nice to support the event.

AG, Jobob, Hope to see you there then. ;) :p

A cold? Try raw garlic. Really, I'm not joking. Take a clove (that is ONE section, not the entire bulb) and cut it into smaller than vitamin pieces. Swallow with lots of water & prepare for the burps.

Guaranteed to keep people off of your wheel!

Actually, chocolate is healthful. But probably not in the quantities that I want...sigh.

I'm toying with the idea. I would fly up with my bike. Is there a decent bike shop that could reassemble my bike? If not, I might drive.

Dogmama asks "Is there a decent bike shop that could reassemble my bike? If not, I might drive."

Is there a decent bike shop in the Bay Area? many! girrls, can we list our favorite bay area bike shops for the Dogmama?

Cycle Sports in Oakland seems nice and specialises in custom fit and wheels

http://www.cyclesportsonline.com/

Left Coast Cyclery in Berkeley too
http://www.leftcoastcyclery.com

my shop is Robinson Wheelworks in San Leandro no website! Too busy being the best shop around but I can get you their number etc.

Dogmama, if you'll be staying in the Dublin area just before the ride, Livermore Cyclery (http://www.livermorecyclery.com/) is a good shop. I like Perfection Cyclery (http://www.perfectioncyclery.com) in Walnut Creek, or check out the bike shop listings from the bike clubs, like the Oakland Yellowjackets (http://www.oaklandyellowjackets.org/links_bikeshops.htm) or the Diablo Cyclists (http://www.diablocyclists.com/LocalBikeShops.htm). But you know, even I can put a bike back together after shipping it in a bike box, so it's not all that technical :).

- Jo "is that motivation enough?" bob (no relation)I didn't get the "no relation" part until I read this a second time through.... Cracked me up! You are so weird jobob. (I mean that in the BEST way!!) :p

P.S. I would LOVE to see Janet riding in a Bob trailer behind jobob's bike!

P.S.S. Dogmama - It would be great if you could come up for this ride!

If Dogmama comes up maybe we should do some sort of dinner get together. I'm not riding Cinderella this year. Party Pardee is the same day. It's such a pretty ride and very tandem friendly.

aka_Kim who has a New signature: "Someday I'll take care of my procrastination issues." Thanks Trek!"

De nada, Kim. It's really "procrastinate tomorrow, don't put it off!" ~ Ellen Degeneres.

I can't take full credit for the concept.

I've been thinking I'll do Party Pardee too, instead of Cinderella. Maybe we can have a TE pre- or post- Cinderella ride?

aka_kim
Procrastinate now!

I'm always up for a party - pre or post ride. Post might be fun.....compare stories, laugh at me in the Bob trailer.........

Hey! If I let jobob tow me, I can sit back and sip Lemon Drops the whole way.......oooooh, a plan is hatching.

Dogmama - not a cold - allergies from h*ll that managed to go into the mother of all sinus infections last year. (I believe it was AG that announced my head had exploded.....) But what the heck, I love garlic, so whats the harm if I start popping cloves..........
