Hey,

Does anyone wear SUB cycling shorts?? Please throw me your thoughts..

OH BTW light-Do you still like your SUB Zero bike?? I'm looking at the sub site & have my eye on the SUB zero pro. I'm still in my research mode...

I tried some on once. They came way too high up in the waist for me though. I'm a dedicated Netti fan when it comes to shorts. :) The 2008 SUBs aren't on the website yet (it's way out of date), but I've seen 'em in stores. Colours are much nicer than the previous ones, IMHO. Lots of bright and white.

OH YEAH! I'm in love with my Sub zero Bike. Here's my most recent photo of her...

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=189979&l=4411d&id=558516129

She's still BEAUTIFUL! For her 1st birthday (1 year: 2000km) I've tricked her out with different seat post, ultegra cassette, Tri bars and Mavic wheels (Kryssirium... I can't spell it) though as the other ones were a bit heavy.

YUP. The Pro is a dead sexy bike. I tried the pro out when I was researching too and if I had of had the budget it would have been mine. The ultegra shifting was pure pleasure.

I liked the SUB Zero.2's frame just that little bit more, ya know. I'd say she suits me.

I'm not a big fan of the 2008 frame designs - The SUB LIME reminds me of a shopping centre Toilet for some reason. But then again I'm soooo into my 2007 model I might be totally biased! :p

Try and pick up a 2007 pro on the cheap. ^_^

As for the shorts... I haven't had the oppurtunity to try them out yet. haven't found a store with them IN STOCK in MY SIZE. Apparently they're popular.

I'm waiting for a PINK/black or Pink/navy sub jersey. If I wait much longer I'm just gonna have to buy one from SHE SPOKE.com.au instead. (Their team kit is GLORIOUS)

My favorite bike shorts were the SUB Pro's.......... wore them all the time......... :) then I got a pair of Shebeest Triple shorts and they are just fab..... but that's another story ;)

I have to say though that getting any of her SUB wear is just about impossible, most of the Auckland LBS have been out of stock since June and when I emailed her site, the guy came back very unhelpful, saying that her range is in all the shops and that very shortly the website will be up and running for order.............. it's now nearly November and still hasn't been updated........and still no stock in LBS...........

And (OK I'm on a roll now & I have my apparel buyer head on too  ) Her life style range last summer was fantastic....... since then her range in Rebel Sport is pretty awful and finshed badly......... personally I think she needs a new Product Manager..... :o

OK, 'enough from me, I'm off my soap box now :)

Not the bike stuff, just general fitness stuff. Looked like the sort of stuff designed for things like going walking around the park with the dog and/or some girlfriends.

Sarah Ulmer's brand? I don't have any SUB gear...

I am loyal to the "on-sale-and-really-cheap" brand :p

Millie I got her newsletter yesterday. Yup the sites updated. I'm very dissappointed at the distinct LACK OF PINK from her 2008 range. That's in both clothing and in the bikes. Coral red isn't PINK! There's WAY too much white in that range.

That being said: I love the new style of her mountain bikes! They're pretty darn cool! I'm no mountain biker but I think I'm in love with that Black SUB trax.1

I got to see the SUB Rosa.2 and the SUB Rosa.Pro at the Noosa Triathlon expo. They are NICE bikes. I mean she really had lined the Pro up with everything a serious cyclist could want and she's dropped the price by $1500.

It seems that Selle Italia has been dropped from the SUB range. That's a shame. But then again if Sarah and her crew can make an equally as comfortable and hardy saddle on the cheap then why not I say.

I bought my first Subwear jersey on the weekend. The fit is to to die for!!! And it was cheap (old season stock in the hometown LBS).

But I've been searching the net to buy more of these great jerseys and cannot find any!

Haven't tried the shorts... yet. :)

Yes, I have heard the fit is extremely good - but the other thing with the SUB gear is that I don't like the colours - on the clothes or the bikes... and colours are important too...

Crazycanuck: www.krankdirtwear.co.nz is another NZ site (like ground effect) that manufacturers clothing. They have some good shorts called grinders. I prefer a slightly longer leg length so wear PI and I'm also a bit fatt-ish hence the leg length looks better but everyone else I know likes a shorter leg length and they fit well acording to friends.

Tarbaby... welcome... haven't seen you round before...

Are you from the Tarbabies cycling club? Or just a coincidence with the name?

The Tarbabies come up here once a year to race with us...
