With just two years to go until the Olympic Games take place in Beijing, the Chinese authorities are failing to meet the human rights commitments they made when Beijing was awarded the Olympics in April 2001.

In my view, the olympic idea has been sacrificed to commercial interests a long time ago....

I certainly won't be watching the Beijing olympics next year. I still don't accept that the Olympics are being held there.

I doubt that any good will come out of holding the games there. I can't wait to see how the human rights protesters are going to be treated. Can you say "The Hush Hush 2007 Olympic Games"...

Me neither, CC
What kind of crackhead thinking was that?

well the last time it was held in China, USA boycotted the game. I just really feel bad for the athletes who have to compete there. Not just human rights issue but everything else... :( For some Olympic is once in a life time chance. You don't get a second chance 4 years later...

Entering into dialogue with someone you don't like is one thing, but going to dance or date someone whwo you don't like just don't make any sense.

Well I don't have a TV so no worry about watching... Just don't have time for mind numbing experience. :p
