i was going down beacon avenue with the traffic; a bus was holding things up.
After the bus passed me, the second car behind the bus, a little car saw me and started stridently honking their horn... I was the object of her attentions so as she passed me (she had lots and lots of room, as did the bus, Beacon Ave is a wide street) I waved like she was a long lost friend. I could see her hesitate and look at me in her mirror so i kept waving.
Ahead there was a light, so the bus and the cars all stopped. I caught up to the lady in the little car and looked inside like i expected to see my best buddy. She looked out her opposite window.
Bwahahaha I embarrassed her. and all i did was smile.

I would have been tempted to do the scene from"It's A Wonderful Life" when Jimmy Stewart (having never been born) sees Donna Reed walking home from the library- "Mary! Don't you know me, Mary?!"

I do that all of the time. I even do if when someone gets frustrated with me driving a car. My kids get a kick out of it.
