I want to provide you with the official dates of the Valley of the Sun Stage Race for '05. Valley of the Sun SR is one of the nation's most popular and well-attended race venues. Last year, we had close to 1000 competitors, and both the women's and men's pro & masters fields were among the best in the country.
We would like to invite you to compete or be a spectator at the '05 Valley of the Sun Stage Race. The Valley of the Sun SR is scheduled for February 18, 19 & 20. More information can be found on our website at www.wmrc.org Also, our official email is VOS2005@wmrc.org.
We want to increase the field sizes for women in '05. Last year, we had 60 women in the P1,2 Category, 20 women in the 3's and about 40 women in the Cat 4/35+ categories. We had the top women's team competing last year and we got great press coverage. Please encourage your teams to come out and race in this great event!
White Mountain Road Club is a non-profit organization. A large portion of our race proceeds go to the Safe Kid's Coalition of Maricopa County. During the race, we have a safety clinic for children, a kid's race and this year, we are planning an event for the Special Olympics.
I am the director of marketing, media and sponsorships and can also be reached at 602.242.5413. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
