Hey BayArea Bikers!
PLEASE keep a look out for my partner's bike! It's a small (custom sized) frame Seven Steel Axiom, with a silver and blue fade, customized with a decal that says Seven of Mine.
Stolen from Sacramento Amtrak Station Sunday Sept 23 between 2 and 4 pm. B@$T@RDS! If you see somebody selling it, please buy it and I'll pay you double for it back!!
any tips on flea markets for us to search would be a great help.

That sucks! Sorry to hear about the stolen bike:(
Remember to check Craigs too - it could show up there.
Might also want to make sure whoever buys it back gets info (as much as they can), so the police can go after the bad guys- otherwise, they'll keep up their tricks...

That sucks!!
Best thing would be to do a "sting" and have the police there heh heh
Don't see anything like it on Bay Area Craigs today, what's the frame size?

Having a bike stolen sucks - especially being at a transit station your parter was probably needing it to continue their journey.
Watch eBay and CL religiously. The story of my DH's recovered stolen bike is here:

I think he had eBay open all the time watching for new postings.

Deanna,
That is an awesome story!! Wow! I've been watching Craigslist. I posted that I was looking for a small women's road bike with a triple just to see if I get any nibbles. It's about a 48 cm, sloping top tube. Here's a photo. Isn't she pretty?

Cindy, I don't know who's more upset, me or Peggy.

Beautiful! :o I don't know if posting a stolen bike alert in Craigs is a good idea as it just may drive the crook to sell another way and not post. Keep checking and good luck getting your baby back.
This crook doesn't deserve to ride even a Huffy.

Trek420,
You're right! I didn't post about a stolen bike. I just said I was looking for a small road bike with a triple. I had one guy just now contact me about an old Cannondale for sale.
I almost did post the stolen bike alert, but thought better of it for exactly the reason you said.
We're heading to Sac over the weekend to hit the flea markets and maybe hit Laney College and Ashby Bart flea markets as well.
Keep your fingers crossed for us!!
Thanks!!

 I believe that I saw this bike in Winters, CA this past weekend (Sat)! I am not tring to give a false alarm. Since I ride I tend to look over other women's bikes (come on, we all do it LOL). I did notice a bike very similar to this one. Winters is a biking destination so we get a lot of cyclists. I always notice the new ones.
I stumbled across this forum because I was/am planning a cross-country bike ride for next year and wanted to find some women to talk to about it. So, it is just a fluke that I found this forum a few days after seeing this bike.

If you saw it Saturday, then the owner was riding it. :) It was stolen on Sunday.

That just sucks! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you. I agree with cindysue, why can't people just work for what they want instead of stealing others peoples stuff.

We love riding in Winters, but we weren't riding on Sat. We were riding on Sunday on the American River Trail, and it was stolen after that ride.
Thanks though and yes keep on checking out the bikes! We do all do it, but now I have even more of a reason to!
I'm printing up some posters with all the specs and emailing them to folks to bring into shops, especially ones up that way.
