Well sorry for the late report, my first sprint was a few weeks ago and I did suprisingly well. There were alot of first timers out there and it was a beautiful day. I placed 3rd in my age group with a time of 1:41. The lake swim was alittle overwhelming, even though I did it several times before the big day. The water was a mere 75 degrees, but the sun was shinning and the water was calm. Had to side stroke it most of the way due to the lack of oxygen (anxiety maybe??? not sure) but I wasn't last and I didn't drown
(prayed alot) About 20 minutes
Anyway the transition to the bike went smoothly and off I rode, the crowd had really dispersed by then, but my legs were shakey. Made the ride in about 46 minutes. Actually ran the whole way (except right at the beginning, it was straight up hill) in about 33 minutes.
It was such a great accomplishment and I was so happy to finish.
Thanks everyone for your great tips, couldn't have done it with out you!!
Now I need a new goal to keep going...
