Hey ladies! I was wondering if any of you have experience with this company and what you thought of them? I'm having a time trying to find reviews and I found a pretty sweet deal on a Ruffian frame in the *perfect* size. I have serious geeky/hardcore lust for a single speed. I oughta be able to build it up before spring. What, with buying a fork, brake, crankset, handlebars and not much else. Oooh, and it comes in a neato root beerish color, kinda like Santa Cruz.

My bike shop boy says I can do better, but if I get a screaming deal why not. Buuuut, he is bike shop boy and there's always something better. It's his job to pontificate about how product A sucks, and product B is so much better. Bah!

Have you checked out www.kellybike.com? Or Mrazek who is kinda in your neighborhood. A bunch of us were looking at various frames and the Kelly won over Gunnar. Beautiful workmanship, powdering, great fork, etc.

I just got a beautiful Knobby X from Chris Kelly and got to pick out my own new color -- Double Bubble Pink. She is gorgeous!

I've got her set up as a townie. My husband also bought one and set it up as a touring bike. They have a wonderful ride. I couldn't be happier.

Maybe I can post some pictures tonight.

I actually spent some time on the Kelly website, it was the only place I could find rigid mtn forks. I would seriously consider their bikes, but the only reason I'm even *considering* another bike is because the guy is selling the frame for $400. Figure he'll take a little less, then a few bucks for shipping makes for a nice winter project.

Hi! I have been lurking for about forever and the word Gunnar finally got me to register...

Have a new Gunnar Roadie ...chameleon metallic green with Easton Carbon components and Ultegra.

The bikes are made by the same folks who lovingly create Waterfords, arguably the standard in steel bike manufacturers (Rivs originated there...).

Incredibly fine workmanship for a bike in that price range. Awesome service, and my LBS boys all use Roadies for their road bikes. That's saying something!

Check the specs on the frame to make sure it'll fit. Gunnar's definitely worth a look.

Rumor is that there may be a garage sale at the end of the year. He's going from a 1" headtube to a 1 1/8". May be worth checking out.

I can certainly vouch for the quality of the Kelly fork which comes with Ruffians. My Knobby X with mtb triple, XT deraillers/cassette, basic Ritchey road wheels, flat Ritchey bar, Ritchey pro post and stem, Avid canti's, Sram attack shifters, very plush and heavy WTB Speed She saddle (hey, this is for town riding), quill pedals, came in at 21 lbs for the 48 cm frame (including the bottle cage!). Rides like exactly what it is - high quality, lightweight steel. The LBS guys are all drooling -- I'm making them stay far, far away!
