Got a flat.
I never did patch the spare from the flat last week.
After patching the spare, pinched the bleeping thing putting it in.
Could not find the hole in the other tube.
Rolled the bike home and stuck the tube in water, found the hole and patched it.
Road off to work my usual way forgetting that the road is closed today.
Doubled back and ended up coming into work on a road that does not have a bike lane.
Pushed the elevator button and went toward the one that was light. Dumb elevetor closed in my face before I could even get on.
2 hours late for work.
I have no spare for the ride home as the pinch flat was too large to patch.
  :(
Wish I could just go home and go back to bed and pretend this day has not happened yet.

Ahhh, that would be ride to the lbs and a loaner. Not a bad idea. Think I'll check around. I'm sure some one is up for a lunch time adventure.
The clouds are gather...with the way my morning has been...I could see getting a flat in a rain storm.

Hmmm. Makes my Monday sound decent.
I rode to work but forgot my work keys. Had to ride back home to get them. It's only 2 miles, but I had to fight all the high-schoolers driving to school on the return trip.
I guess it's better than the day last week that I forgot my underwear. Had to wear my bike shorts and sports bra under my clothes all day. I dress very casual for work (read: shorts or jeans), but still...
Hope your day goes better!!

Um...I'm off today. I went to the salon where I had a pedicure and was offered wine.
But that sounds like any other day of mine, if I commuted by bike :D My day-to-day life type things go about that way.

Oh no! Monday blues indeed!
Sorry it was such a rough commute this morning. Wish it could've been better. Hopefully the rain held out for your ride home and that somebody was nice enough to take you to the lbs at lunchtime. :)
My commute made me mad! I didn't ride this morning, but should've. Left for work an hour early, and wound up being a little late. Stupid cars and stupid traffic. I'm riding tomorrow. Will take longer than the car to get to work, but at least I won't be stuck in stinkin' highway traffic. Ick!

Maybe my Monday story will cheer you up. It was fun.
I've noticed that any time an SUV containing 2 young (college-age) males passes me, they honk, yell, or otherwise harass me. Several housing developments were built along my road (without my permission), so I get a lot of that.
Today one such SUV passed me and did NOT honk. I wanted to thank them! Then lo and behold, I pulled up to the light behind them, and the back window was down, so I yelled, "I love you guys!"
They looked at each other. The driver turned off the music. The passenger turned around.
"Why do you love us?"
"You didn't honk or yell at me!"
"Why would we do that?"
"Every SUV containing 2 guys does."
The light was long and we chatted for a while. They asked if I was in the race. (The Tour of Missouri.) I used uforget's line: "No, the St. Louis Cardinals needed me that day." Then I explained it was for olympic cyclists.

Its been my biggest fear. I actually keep a spare in my desk drawer. I actually had one of my bags leak a little in a rainstorm a couple of weeks ago. I ended up wear a pair of gym shorts for half the day, till my pants dried out. :o
The rest of the day has been quit. I did get a ride to the bike shop and I got my tube. I love going to the bike shop. Its even more fun then the hardware store. It may not even rain :D

OMG- I just finished packing the car and my backpack for my commute (a hybrid commute where I drive halfway then bike the rest) and you reminded me that I forgot my underwear. I'm doing that right now!
And nice story, Melalvai. Nice that you got to chat with some respectful and friendly drivers.
