There are some things that a husband understands...

I think it was ripped off at the Louisville Ironman

People are scum!

I know you're a silver smith, Silver. Do you make large objects or small?

Thanks for the link. You've got some gorgeous pieces. Silly question maybe ... but do you only work in silver or do you use other metals? Or is it a different process to make something in gold or platinum?

thank you!

silver is my passion

it's different to work in gold and platinum.

I work mostly with silver. sometimes I use some gold, brass and copper. Gold is very expensive to work with and somewhat different but I can do a little work with it with my tools. Platinum of course is ridiculously expensive and requires all different tools. (way more expensive tools)

I've always been partial to things that are human creations rather than machine made. They seem to have more soul.

Very cool piece.. I'm a silver kinda girl, so I really appreciate that!
Oh- and hellfire to the thief! They will join that corner in hell where the people who harass cyclists go!

I'm sorry to hear that your license plate went missing.:( It is beautifully designed as is your jewelry. Totally unique pieces of wearable art!

I'm really sorry for the loss of your license plate. I really don't know what's got into people these days.  People just don't seem to have the respect for other people anymore.

I looked at your website too and you have some amazing pieces. I agree with
SouthernBelle, you should create some cycling pieces. It would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas you know. :)

Oh, yeah! Silver is my favorite metal, and I'd love to see some bike pieces in time for Christmas/Hannukah.

Very sorry about your license plate. (but look, now I know you work in silver! A silver lining to the event?)

Your silver is great, and why aren't you marketing those license plates?

It's great to have a wife that:

Doesn't like flowers
Doesn't need furs, and
Makes her own jewelry

The silver lining?......I'll get to have a new license plate made with a few changes that I would have liked?

Cycling pieces:

I have the bicycle chain bracelet. I don't actually make this one, I get it from my supplier:

the bicycle charm necklace (not a good picture):

And then I just made an ironman pendant that I'm really excited about:

No the ironman pendant is not for me....it's for a customer. She's getting it for her daughter who is an iron(wo)man.

Mr. thinks that someone swiped my tri license plate when I was in Lou for the IM finish. I just can't believe that Ironman people would do something like that. Funny how I stereotype Ironman people as people who wouldn't steal.

Sorry to hear about your plate Silver. That bites. I love your designs. I don't work in that type of jewelry anymore, but I know the work involved, I took a jewelry class for art in High School. I still have some of my pieces I made and an older man liked my turquoise ring I'd made well enough that he stole it.

I'd love to have one like the silver athletic one that said "Lo, I am with you always"

I just can't believe that an IM peep would steal something like that!
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I have never been to a race site where people were so kind to one another. Usually I see a lot of posturing at sites, but at IMAZ in all three years (1st yr I voly'd) everyone seems so warm and friendly to one another. Really a positive vibe around the IM village.
That saddens me that someone would steal something like that. People can just be so..uhh.. what is the word?? WRONG sometimes!! - Sorry the word I wanted escaped me, and I need to be getting off to masters. heh heh.. :p

I certainly didn't think it was an IM peep...I thought it was one of their larda$$ brothers who needed a gift to celebrate the finish:D :D

I agree Mr. Silver. Or maybe it is a wanabe that is a larda$$ who does not have the discipline to train for such an event.

That's my vote. IMPeeps' families get it too...
