hi gals,
i built my new juliana using some of the parts from my old trek to save money, so now the old beater frame is up for grabs. would make a great commuter frame if you have the means to build it up- it's in pretty good shape.
older (2002?) trek 6700 WSD, size small (women's geometry)
rock shox judy C fork
comes with bontrager race lite wheels, no tires.
it's missing the entire drivetrain, including the cranks. although i could be convinced to re-install the drivetrain...
sans drivetrain: $50 plus shipping
with drivetrain: $150 plus shipping
let me know if you're interested.

Hey Ikkin,
how tall are you? I know nothing about mtb sizing (nor Trek's 2002 wsd sizing...) but I've sort of been wanting to try mtbing, but not ready to make a big investment (I might be able to swing $150 though :D ). I'm 5'6", longish torso, 31.5/32" inseam. I'm guessing I'd more likely be a medium, but let me know if you think it might fit.

hi everyone!
this bike is still available.
looks like i'm gonna build it back up...so it'll come almost complete...just no tires, tubes- you'll need to get new ones.
$150+shipping...great entry level hardtail.
Oh it's so tempting but I just bought a used commuter (Trek 830) I am fixing up--which is not nearly as cool but I love it nonetheless. Also, I'm still mastering my road bike and am happy doing that :p
Good luck selling :D

Geez, it still looks tempting (especially if it's coming built up). Ikkin, I think I pm'd you the first time around... But how tall are you, and how does the bike fit?
As I said in my post from months ago , I suspect it might be smallish for me. (Though I just bought a road bike dramatically smaller than my old one and I"m really liking it). And I have no experience at all with MTB sizes.

hi liza!
so...i'm 5'3'' and the bike fit me perfectly. i have short legs and a longer torso...like a corgi... :D. if it helps, i ride a 47cm cannondale r1000 and a small santa cruz juliana, both fit perfect. so it might be a tad too small for you...i'm not sure! i think its a 15.5 frame, but let me check. let me know if you're still interested!
Oh, and it's my size......
Must resist.... :D
I feel like the crazy old cat lady...only with bikes. I see all the bike listings on craigslist and I want to take them all home... :p
How do you like your Cannondale? I am very interested, as their geometry looks like it might fit me better but I have to wait until I can afford another bike. You sound like you're almost exactly my size :D :p
What year/make/model do you have? What other bikes have you ridden/owned? (this may be treading into PM territory). My apologies for the tangent!

Also, if you don't mind my asking, what part of New Hampshire are you in? My sister is at Tuck (Dartmouth's business school) right now and I keep promising to go visit her soon. I've been too busy with school myself but her term goes a bit longer than mine (I've got about a week and a half left). Are you anywhere near Hanover?

hi ana!
no problem, it might help folks trying to figure out if the 6700 would fit 'em.
my r1000 is sitting next to me in my office right now, i rode into work today. :D i LOVE it. it's smooth (nice carbon fork, seatpost and cranks) light and FAST and it fits great. i think its an '06 or model...its blue with white trim. i got it for a killer deal ($1200) 'cause it's a unique (small, 47) size and it had been sitting in my LBS for 2 years and they wanted to move it. full ultegra, awesome wheelset, i freaking love this bike.
only other bikes i've owned are my juliana and the 6700 for sale here. i also demoed an orbea dama mitis, a giant TCR1, cannondale synapse and some others. lucked out that the r1000 fit perfect and was exaclty what i was looking for. so don't be afraid to hold out for a good deal...gals our size can sometimes find them with enough patience. good luck!
p.s. i grew up in dearborn, right down the road from A2. ahhhh...the flatlands. :)

hi liza!
i'm about 1.5 hours from dartmouth, but we often head that way to hike/ski in VT. so if you're anywhere near there just let me know and maybe we can meet up.
no rush, i'm not super motivated to sell it 'cause it might be nice to have around as a beater bike. but if it fit you and worked you're welcome to it.
it's not the prettiest bike...it's a combo of silver, royal blue and black. benefit is its not too girly looking. but i sort of like girly looking bikes. :o
i'll try to post pics if i can...thanks gals!
