Since Zencentury has such a good memory and reminds me that I promised:eek: :o So, now that I've kept my promise, I will go sulk in embarrassment

Here's what Biking with Brooks Brothers looks like:

Awesome!!!!! :) :) :)

It's truly amazing how you have turned your whole health around in just a year!
I remember when you started, and were eating those awful diet/choco bars or something and didn't even know how to eat healthy. Just look at you now!!! :-D You're going to be rockin' at the age of 100 at this rate. :)

What? Is that not normal? Don't all people dress that way at your office (if not- they certainly should- it's quite the look- you should send those to Brooks Brothers for a promo ad). :D
Thanks for posting- you look great!

Hey! Nice VMO there, Mr. Silver.
A man of his word (even if I did have to nag a bit).

However- how do we know you didn't go in on a Sunday and have Silver take those photos?

The pictures were taken yesterday with the indulgence of co-workers who indulge the boss' eccentricities and goal of not taking himself too seriously...

What's "VMO"?

Yep...not everyone is as willing to place their ugly mug on the 'net...;)

Notwithstanding me...it's a VERY conservative group...

Vastus medialis obliques...or something like that. I'm sure I butchered it.
They're your thigh muscle that forms the bump just inside and above your knee (and aid in extension?). My PT used to call me the "VMO-less wonder" after my knee surgery b/c mine disappeared to nuthin' and took a whole lot of pushing lead plates to get back...

Vastus Medialus Oblique, one of the quadricep muscles and very difficult to isolate. You can see it in the photo where you are semi-seated on the table posing for the next annual report cover.

Business on the top, party on the bottom.
I know that doesn't sound quite right but you know what I mean.
Now can I convince you to grow a mullet?

Whooo-hooooo! Nice gams!

Mr. Silver, you done good on this fitness thing! Excellent!

(now to celebrate, how 'bout a Utilikilt?:p Bet it'd look mighty fine with Brooks Brothers, and with Brooks saddles!)

Shouldn't the helmet match the tie?

You look awesome Mr. S, you should be way proud of those legs.

I'd thought about a kilt with that too. I tested the idea with my single-breasted jacket (roughly the same color as Mr. Silver's) and both my Army Class A's and Dress Blues. I checked it with both my UK and my Stewart tartan kilt.
All results were the same. I looked like a guy in a skirt suit. Jackets and kilts really only work together if the jacket is short.

Oh that made my morning! I LOVE it Mr. Silver!!!
And I do agree.... Nice work on the ol legs there!!!
But I must ask... What did Silver think of the photo shoot?? I'm sure Silver son, being a kid recoiled in horror. Well, I know mine would. Maybe yours is more evolved. But mine thinks that everything I do is embarrasing..

Yo! I missed this yesterday.

Very nice!!! Mr. has always had VERY nice legs!!! But they look even better now with the fitness and cycling!!

On the kilt.....I might as well go ahead and say that I tried to order him a Utilikilt. But, I couldn't find his size. They are very specific about how to size and they don't have his length. So, it's not something that I can get him as a surprise. sorry, Mr.

Tomorrow is our 21 anniversary. Happy anniversary, Sweetie! Thanks for putting up with me for all these years......I love you!

SilverSon will not see these pictures!

The kilted one has a few other options.

1) USAKilts (http://usakilts.com) are a little more expensive than a Utilikilt but they look really nice and have a good reputation among kilt geeks. I have my eye on a US Army tartan semi-trad.

2) Sport Kilt (http://sportkilt.com) My wife bought me one a few couple of years ago (Stewart Black). I'd suggest adding the sew-down pleats. It's a comfortable kilt, although light enough that I consider it a warm weather kilt. I'd considered the Boulder Kilt, but the pattern is sideways and it would drive me nuts. Sizing is a little easier. It's also relatively inexpensive.

3) Stillwater kilts (http://stillwaterkilts.com) makes nice ones too. I would also like the black watch standard. In terms of price, these fall between the sport kilt and the utilikilt.

A quick note. There is a good portion of the kilted gentry who insist a kilt is worn over the navel. I suppose it's probably true. If I did that, my kilts would come to my mid thigh (which would be half-way to making it a skirt) and my upper body would look 3" tall.

Standard kilt lengths would be 6 inches too long for me:eek:  :(

I need an 18 inch drop, not the standard 24".

Good god man.

You might try going with a 20" drop and wearing it a bit higher on your waist. If it's within an inch or two of your knee, you're probably ok.

Also if you had to get it tailored, I'm guessing a UK would be easier.

The question I've been asking all my life: do you have a smaller size? :p
