Remember a couple of weeks ago I came off my bike? Upshot of that was I haven't been on my bike since because of a very stiff and painful neck which thankfully is now on the mend (didn't feel the neck injury for a couple of days after I came off the bike).

Anyway, I've been using the car to get to work :( and guess who I saw today. Yes, the cyclist who was wobbling all over the place infront of me. I thought he was just struggling getting up the hill (he looks like he's in his 60s and is very, very overweight - well obese actually).

There he is this afternoon, this time on a flat section of the same road - and he was swerving all over the lane and wobbling really badly - so much so I passed him and drove onto the opposite lane to stay away from him.

I came to the conclusion that he was DRUNK today and probably drunk the other week too:mad:

Blasted menace:mad:

Call the police next time you see him. At least they can get him for public drunkenness, if indeed he is.

My DH is very pro-fitness and non-car transportation, and once lived near a guy who went everywhere on his bike. DH told him "that is awesome how you go everywhere on your bike!". And the guy said "yeah. Fourth DUI."
DH thought he had found a like minded person, but the guy was anything but!

So yeah, this person may be continuing his bad habits from former car days, just now on a bike- for his own safety, and everyone else's, it probably is best to draw police attention to him. I am glad you are on the mend- sorry it has taken a while and forced you back to the car!

I did think of reporting him to the police yesterday but, unfortunately our police are a bit of a joke at the moment and it's doubtful if they'd do anything about it.
