Iam looking for a riding partner in the pittsburgh area. I can ride 25 miles more or less whatever suits you. Willing to travel to your area to ride.
What kind of riding do you do?
I like hills and speed. But with work, temps dropping, and daylight disappearing, I'm not doing much of either.
There are two good groups to find other riders, the Western PA Wheelmen and Team Caffeine out of Tazza D'Oro Cafe.

I ride mostly on the roads occasional trails, for some reason the wheelman just never worked out, I was always working on thurs. or it was raining. I will check out the cafe do they have a website or do you know when they ride? i can ride sometimes during the day , depending on my schedule . thanks for the info . I entered 4 races this year and had a lot of fun. I just finished doing the seagull century with my husband. Didn;t finish 60 miles, I got a bladder infection. Yuck and hurt ohmy. I will back next year for sure.
99% of my riding is road. I may mtb more this winter, if we don't get too much snow and messy trails. I raced Tour de Tamarack and Tour de Strongland. Crashed hard in Strongland but finished.
I may do a Wheelman ride tomorrow but am struggling with a need to attend church, too. I know what I should do.
The website for Tazza D'Oro is http://www.tazzadoro.net/ and look at the Team Caffeine link. They have maps and que sheets at the website. They ride primarily Tues./Thurs./weekends. I haven't seen many rides lately but that doesn't mean some can't ride with you during the day. You can always throw it out and see what happens.
I've met some really nice people through both clubs.
I've heard the Seagull Century is a fun event from beginning to end. A buddy from NJ talks glowingly about it. :) Sorry to hear about the bladder infection. Ouch! I hope it clears up quickly.
I may be in town next weekend. If I am and you're free, maybe we can hook up for a ride. If that works, I'll try to get another friend to join us. There are lots of great routes to ride.

I did the tour de tamarack also, That hill was a killer , not my best. also the tt at erie in sept. which was fun but it sure was cold. i bought an indoor trainer and so far it looks like i will be using it. I don;t mind riding when its cold but i hate the rain. give me a call some time to ride would love to go. thanks mary
I came in 3rd in the women's 20 mile race at Tamarack.....just 20 secs behind the #1 lady, who is a competitive tri-gal. I lost more than 20 secs with poor starting position. But, it was my first race in over a decade so I'm not unhappy. Indeed, I'm real happy about it. :)
That hill was nasty. If you want to get better on them, ride them. I've got plenty here to ride and incorporate them into my training rides. I also ride in the mountains with a buddy from Scotdale. We ride from his place into the Laurel Highlands and Southern Alleghenies. Talk about nasty climbs........ Try Sugarloaf from Confluence to Ohiopyle. Nasty grades up to 17%. A couple days later you'll feel the strength gained from climbing.
I'll be in touch.
