So here she is!! I picked her up yesterday! :D I decided to go with the Dolce. I was so much more comfortable on this bike then on the Allez. You can't see in the picture very well but she is white and yellow with a white seat. Not sure how long the seat will stay white though!! :p
K! I am going out to ride!! Thank you all for your advice and support while I was shopping for the perfect bike!

Very nice. ENJOY.
I'm thinking---BEE THEME. Switch out the saddle and bar tape to black. The saddlebag is fine. YOu should call the bike "Sting."

That isn't a bad idea to switch those out. I actually hadn't thought of that.
Sting is quite fitting hence the colors, and also considering I just crashed on the pavement and the road rash on my leg stings a lil bit! lol :p No scratches on the bike though!!

That is a very pretty bike! Glad to hear you saved it as you fell ;) Hope the road rash clears quickly <ouch>

Must have been a bummer to go down on such a lovely new bike! Glad she's okay (and you, too!).
I'd stick with the white. It's really pretty.

Nice- very nice!!!! What a beautiful ride!!!! :D
Sting is a good name- you can use it as a noun (I rode Sting this morning) as a verb (my bike stung the road yesterday), as an adverb (Sting's moving so stingingly fast that I couldn't see who was riding it) or as an adjective (you're stinger fast bike is amazing). Sorry- I just got done reviewing parts of speech with the students and my brain hasn't shut off.
Enjoy your new best pal!!!!
What a sweet bike. She looks like she has a sunny disposition.:) Have lots of fun rides.

This bike is so much fun to ride! Thank you all for the encouragement and the props.
I've had a bit of a shaky start on the clipless pedals (my first pair) but I know with some practice I will get used to them. :)
BTW-nice word usage Tri Girl! Sting is proving to be quite versatile! :D

I decided to stay with the white saddle, but the white bar tape, sadly has to go. It's already gettin dirty! :( I don't mind my Mtn bike dirty, but for some reason this one is different. I feel like an over-protective mother! lol :o

Twigg, congratulations on your new sweet ride. :) How do you like your white seat? I guess the white bar tape is a no go, but don't despair, there are some really cool bar ribbons out there with marbled colors.
I think you will be pleased as punch to have a WSD bike.
I'm on a Specialized Sequoia and our LBS just got in a new shipment of '08's. I would love to test ride a Dolce. It looks so cool, clean and quick!
Have a great weekend ride. :)

Pretty bike! There is black/yellow confetti bar tape. Enjoy the ride!
Ooo, very nice bike! Congratulations!
I for one am very glad I have black tape. I hardly own anything white, it goes from looking clean and fresh to grubby and ugly in no time flat...

What a great bike! I also think I've seen black-and-yellow bar tape. You could even kit yourself out in a yellow top with your black bike shorts. And Sock Guy used to make socks with bees on the cuff. There's so much potential for fun with the black/yellow color scheme. Oops, is my inner interior decorator showing? :o
Have fun with your new ride!

Lovely bike! Have fun!!!!
Congratulations on the new bike!
I like the white. Sure it will get a bit dirty with use, but that gives it character... Enjoy each ride!

I thought about the yellow top also! Actually the bike is white/yellow with baby blue accents. :D I will have to take a closer pic! I am going to look for blue shorts to match! :) I need to find that black and yellow bar tape! The sales guy at my LBS was talking about putting gel under the new bar tape when he changes it out. Has anyone had that done, if so did you like it?

Mine came with comfort gel under the bar tape, and I love it for the long rides I do. I have tiny hands, though, and I suspect the extra thickness contributes some to my reach problems because it does make the bars a little fat.

I clean my white bar tape with Soft Scrub. It works like a charm. :)
twig,
The Dolce already has the 2.5mm "Bar Phat" gel under the tape. There is 4.5mm bar phat, which I have in my bike and it how I felt after long rides, 50 miles + (I had only the tape before). However, your bike should be much cushier than my all aluminum ride: the Dolce has a carbon fork and the handlebar with a "zertz" insert. The bar phat only comes with black tape...
Re the black and yellow tape, I have seen it from Profile Design (http://www.profile-design.com/2006_product_pages/grips/wrap_bar.html) and from Soma Fabrications (http://www.somafab.com/bartape.html).

When I had my bars re-wrapped, they didn't have enough tape to cover the gel on the drops so it's gone. I miss that comfie, squishy feel down there. :(
