I'll be there taking pictures and cheering her on. Couldn't get my act together to train this spring/summer, but it will be fun to be a spectator. The weather will be perfect--60s overnight, high in the low 80s.

Good luck MD! Tomorrow morning is supposed to be perfect, weather-wise. Can't wait for a race report.

Had planned to do this one myself, as well, but my achilles tendon injury in May/June put an end to my running.

Go, Nicole!! After all the training and commitment you've put into this you're already a champ, so enjoy every minute of the triathlon! :D

Looking forward to your "official" report, Janice ;)

I think Natascha Badmann is a made-up name. I mean, c'mon!
Like when Homer Simpson named himself Max Power. He got that off a hair dryer.

just think of yourself as Max Power!

Go Max!!

Thanks everyone!

I started my day with a 1.5 hour massage to get loose and relaxed. Then, over to the hotel to pick up the race packet, get tagged, and get my timing chip. Finally, dropped off the bike at the park and scoped out the transition areas. My bike is racked right at the end of the row, next to the aisle. I'm not sure if this is a good spot for setting up my transition area, but at least the bike will be easier to find. I feel funny about having to leave it overnight.

Now it's time to start packing and obsessing over all the little details ;)

My wave goes off at 7am. Send those buoyant thoughts my way! I'll be really happy once I get out of the water! :D

I LOVE my bike at the end of the rack. When I get to choose, that's always where I put it. Not only is it easy to find, but you don't have to worry about 2 other people's "things" being in your way (only 1 neighbor on the end), and it's easier to run in and out of transition from. It's already a good sign! :D

You're going to have a great race!

I love the Hill Slug Triathlon in your signature. :p 'Cept I don't think you'll be sinking or crawling- you'll be floating and running like the wind!
Enjoy and have a GREAT time!!!!!
