Recoverite???

I have a friend who's on an autoship deal for Recoverite, and he's want to sell me his excess...:confused: Anyone tried it? Is it worth $40/gallon?

I have tried it and will say I would not pay that much for it. But, I have a club sponsorship from Hammer and can get good discounts. But I have never ordered a tub of it.

You can get a similar benefit by combining Perpetuem and whey protein powder, or just drinking milk and eating a banana after a workout.

Depends on your volume of training and goals. If you are doing huge-volume training and have trouble making yourself eat right after a workout, it may be good but I could not justify spending that much money.

Also, if it is so great why is your friend not using it all up?

I use recoverite and I love it. I am im in south fl, and I am so hot afterwards that I can not drink much right away, and chocolate milk sometimes is to thick for me to drink when I am this hot. I love the taste of recoverite and feel that it works really well, you also get a lot for your money. You get a lot out of a container.
But... it also depends on how long your rides are, I drink it after almost every ride, but my short rides are 30 miles and I train 6 days a week. I do not feel that it is needed for rides shorter then that, it then becomes just extra calories and you can get what you need for your muscles through actual food.(I also drink it because I have issues eating all of my calories needed, so I drink a portion of them through heed,recoverite, isopure, and myoplex)
