Does anybody have the Shimano cycling sandals that TE sells? Can anyone recommend them?
Here in Florida, my feet have had just about all they can stand of hot rides. By about mile 25, I'm ready to tear my shoes off and ride barefooted (if only....) I tried the Lake sandals, but they just don't fit my feet right--the XS is too big and the XXS seems too small. So I thought I'd try the Shimano, but thought I'd ask about them here first. Any advice? Thanks!

I don't have them, but I tried them on, the the guy at my LBS wears them, and highly recommended them to me. I didn't get them because my feet looked, well, not purdy. If we had as long and hot a summer as you do, I'd get them. Vanity would be out the window!

If you run a search on Shimano sandals, more will be revealed.

I have the Shimano Sandals and I just LOVE them! They are comfy and breezy and so much easier to get in and out of. My son happened to try them on last night (oddly, we have the same size feet) and he loved them too. I had to remind him to remove them before he left (I think he was hoping I wouldn't notice his attempt to smuggle them home...

I've been wearing them for some months. I love them!
I've got tanned toes and a little strip of tan on the top of the arch, and the rest of the foot is not tanned. :)
If you are unsure about what size to purchase, email or call TE and they will tell you which size you need.
On a chilly day, you can wear cute cycling socks with the sandals, and more of the cute socks show than with shoes, so it is a bonus.
When it gets real cold and wet, I don't know what I will do. I will loathe going back to cycling shoes. I am contemplating putting on thermal socks, then putting my sandals on over the thermal socks.
Oh yes, and you can walk in the sandals.
Also, when I am out around other cyclists, many cyclists will come up to me and ask me about the sandals because they wish they had a pair.
The feet feel so good not being stuffed into a shoe.

Darcy-
Lots of folks swear by sealskinz socks with wool underneath in wet conditions. They say it works better than shoes and booties.
FWIW I have the old style shimano (2 straps) and the Lakes (I bought them before I found someone who could fix the shimanos). The shimanos are more comfortable - the Lakes fit my foot funny (toe ridge mostly).

Here in sunny CA I haven't been able to find sandles IRL anywhere. I'll have to call TE. While my foot boo boo heals I need a comfy way to ride.

Yep, time to call TE for me, too. Thanks for the input, everyone.
