Good morning Ladies!
I wanted to take a minute to thank you for helping get the word out about "The Battle of North Valley's Hills". This past weekend was a huge success... the riders loved it, gave awesome feedback, and couldn't stop raving about the beautiful scenery on the century.
I've become addicted to this thread since posting the ride here and it's always so fun to read about what each of you are doing and the rides you take part in. There's a bunch I'd love to join you on (like She Got Bike and the monument tour), but... alas, I am raising grandchildren and, well, first things first.
I'm bummed none of you got to come to our ride and so I just wanted to let you know that next year's dates are June 6-8, 2008 -- everyone who came this past weekend said they are going to do their best to be back next year and to get the word out to friends and club mates everywhere.
The reason I'm writing to you is because I want you to please know that we would never allow money to stop anyone from coming... if you want to come and it's not in the budget... we'll comp your registration and we'll even help you figure out meals if you need us to. And, we'll even try to find you a carpool if you need one.
I know what it's like to love cycling and the outdoors, but to have other more important priorities that take precedence over my enjoying those things... so... know that we'll work with you whatever the circumstances.
The scenery here really is unbelievably breathtaking! Sure hope some of you can come and enjoy it with us next June. There will be three days of rides and something for every level rider.

PS -- I finally got smart and started putting the @ sign in parenthesis and spelled out instead of just writing my email address... do you know how many robots scan the net for email addresses and send you 100's of emails a day trying to get you to grow parts you don't even have or buy things you're shocked and in disbelief to think anyone would ever want, much less need?!!!??!? Anyway, if you need to write me, just put the @ symbol in place of the (at) 'cuz, YOU, I'd LOVE to hear from... them? not so much! :)
PSS -- As a result of my posting my email address in announcing this ride... I've also been amazed to discover how many relatives I've had pass away in foreign countries for whom I am the sole heir and who have left me millions and millions of dollars that just has to be transfered to the U.S.... so, as soon as I send each one of their executors $30,000 and all my personal information, I will be a billionaire and can pay for everyone's ride for the rest of my life! LOL :) What amazes me the most... is that... people actually fall for this!
