If you haven't seen your replay of today's stage, be sure to look for the guy in the thong  at about the 3-miles-to-go point. And the giant chicken not much later.

You guys forgot the guy dressed as a big penis with about 3 miles left to go. He's on the left!

DAGNABIT I saw chickenman and g-string dude (who did indeed look mighty fine) but I missed the penis. Maybe it's on YouTube

Here's the penis. http://www.versus.com/tdf/article/category/87/?tf=articlecat_video.tpl&sm=5&CatLimit=1&cc=1&ArtLimit=100&ac=1&cat=&mt=&CatUserDef=true&ss=video
4th one down. It's right at the start of the video, maybe 10 seconds in. On the left side of the screen.

Saw the thong - almost - wasn't much, was it?
Saw the weird thing you say was a chicken, Tuckerville...
Completely missed the penis... think I am glad I did!!!

Thong guy was really booking it.
The Chicken was a hoot and unfortunately, I saw the penis.
Did anyone see the guy with the elk horns? It was HUGE!

When Will and I saw the chicken, we both launched into "Chickennnnnnn mannnnnn...."
If you have XM radio, you can hear Chickenman episodes on 151. They're leftover comedy skits from the 60s. They're not that funny anymore because they have dated material that 13 yo boys don't quite get. But they're still a blast from my Chicago past.

LOL, if you missed the live show when the g-string dude popped up on the right side of the screen, phil said, "now there's a fit athelete there..." I am so glad I had DVR so I got to rewind to enjoy the laugh again.
The chicken man was quite funny too.
Today there were two guys in Boygues Telecom jerseys who ran along the right side of the road and mooned the camera....

I missed that commentary! Maybe I was too busy looking. lol.
Today I was struck by how much they used the word "boy" to describe all the riders. "He's a tough boy." "For a boy so,..." crazy. I can't tell if it's fatherly, patronizing, European, or gay. lol.
Karen
I tend to think of 'em as boys too, but maybe even more often as "kids" -- maybe cuz I'm old enough to be most of their moms?

Yup, it's hard not to think of them as "boys" when you could be their mom.
(and I'm gay, but that's not why I think of them as "boys"!:D )

Don't say that, Knotted.
I think I am one of their team-mates and am sitting by the phone with my bag packed ready to save the day in the next Big Tour if someone has a major crash.
(It goes like this: someone will get injured badly and they will say "Only margo can help us now." Then they will phone and I will be flown to a Fancy Training Camp with all the trimmings. Stopping on the way at a Big Shop where I will point at 1000 things and say things like "Perhaps you have that in a lighter shade" or "Do you have that in WSD" and they will pay...they will all call me "Mademoiselle" too!)

oh Margo, you crack me up!
My "boys" are the same age as the boys on the Tour, and I don't call them boys anymore. They wouldn't like it. They're my lovely, mature, handsome men. :)

Calling them "boys" makes me feel like a perv for the things I imagine about them... they're definitely MEN :D

I believe "boys" is used to convey comraderie (sp?). I heard one of the riders refer to the peleton as "the boys". They are all suffering and living through a difficult experience together.
After watching the TdF, I also believe men should be forced to obtain a license before wearing Speedo-type swimsuits. blech!

Well in this mornings coverage there was a completely naked guy--no "mini, mini, mankini". Not as evenly tanned as the other guy though.

Did you happen to note at what mile post this occurred? hmmm?
