We found it yesterday (if you consider 80 degrees cool).
With a need to escape the heat of the Salt Lake and Utah valleys, sulis, AuntieK, friend of Auntie K (we’ll call her “elbow gash”), and yours truly decided to ride up in the mountains east of Park City. What a great day! Elbow gash found a group of kitted out racer boys to hang with on the descent and hammered with them for probably about 5 miles. The rest of us opted not to join in the hammerfest. That elbow gash gal is impressive!
This has to be one of my top 3 rides in Utah (so far). The route we did starts at about 6500’ and summits at just above 9400’. The climb is about 22 miles long. There was some weekend funseeker traffic but it wasn’t too awful, and it is just so beautiful up there it’s hard to be negative about anything! Anyway, here are some shots from the day. I’ll let AK and sulis add their tidbits to the report.

And finally, here we are at the summit (elbow gash, yellow, and AuntieK)!
