How do you spell frustration?

It's when you drive 10 miles to get to the pool. Change, get in, get new goggles adjusted, and then be told that the (indoor) pool is being closed because of lightning.... sigh.. I didn't see any when I was coming in, but the horizon was dark... Dang nabbit monsoon storms! What a waste of my time, gas....ugh..

Geez. I'm usually relieved when that happens. It means i have a valid excuse to miss a workout.

I do understand though. I hate it when your heart is set on getting something done and something out of your control thwarts your efforts. Definitely frustrating.

OK I don't understand. Why was an INDOOR pool being closed because of lightning - is this something I need to be aware of? I have never really thought about it - I don't know if i have ever swam indoors during a thunderstorm. I swim mostly in the winter and I have swam during some pretty nasty blizzards ( now THAT is the best feeling :D ) Can you get zapped in the water if the building gets hit? So we shouldn't be in the shower or bathtub during an electrical storm? Inquiring minds want to know

I've always heard that you don't want to take a shower or anything like that during a thunderstorm..... I guess the folk wisdom is that if the building gets hit the electricity can travel through down the pipes and into the water??
I think that it is a myth though.
